I think Cruz is doing it to keep his position as top dog among the far right wing to prevent the young pups like Cotton, Rubio, Walker, and Jindel from taking his spot. There's lots of money to be made espousing the views of the far right. That constituency loves to spend their money to hear someone in power validate their views.

We'll let you off easy, you just have to 'open your bridge' to Christie. My experience in NJ is that the south coast like Cape May is a great vacation area.- 139 replies

1989–90 Quebec Nordiques Won only one out of its last 17 games. 1980-81 Winnipeg Jets Earning the nickname "Lose-ipeg," the Jets set a modern sports record by going 30 games without a win. 1975-1976 Kansas City Scouts From December 30 to February 4, the Scouts failed to win a single game, coming up short 16 straight times. After ending that streak with a victory over the Capitals, the Scouts went winless in their last 27 games, finishing 1-35-8 in their last 44 games. 1992–93 San Jose Sharks The Sharks set the NHL record by losing 71 games that year, including 17 in a row at one point, and they allowed the most goals of any team in the league. Arturs Irbe was the San Jose's "leading goaltender," posting a record of 7-26 and a GAA of 4.11. 1974–75 Washington Capitals The 1974-75 Capitals are the worst team to ever skate on the ice. Their .131 winning percentage is the worst in league history and they finished with half the points as their fellow expansion brothers, the Kansas City Scouts. The Caps managed to lose 39 out of their 40 road games and lost 17 in a row at one point. Goaltender Michel Belhumeur went 0-24 and along with fellow netminder Ron Low, they allowed a combined 446 goals (also an NHL record). The team was so bad that they lost four games by 10 or more goals, and coach Jim Anderson had to resign after being diagnosed with stomach ulcers caused by stress.

If Pysyk has a long term issue, picking Hanafin 3rd might not be the worst thing.

Nolan said he's going to keep playing Lindback until he gets tired.

What is the equivalent low to a Stanley Cup high?

The Two Girls and One Cup? -
That's Lindback in the pads, who came from Dallas. Irbe is in the warmups.

Given the AHL teams moving next season, here is my version of how I think the league should be realigned: Atlantic Division: St Johns, Portland, Springfield, Providence, Bridgeport, Hartford, Albany North Division: Utica, Syracuse, Rochester, Toronto, Binghamton, Wilkes Barre-Scranton, Hershey, Lehigh Valley MidWest Division: Lake Erie, Grand Rapids, Chicago, Milwaukee, Winnipeg, Rockford, Iowa, Charlotte West Division: San Jose, Bakersfield, Stockton, Ontario, San Diego, San Antonio, Texas

Just the opposite; Hillary lost because she voted for the Iraq war authorization, and Obama voted against it. That gave him the support of liberals who always opposed the war. The far left and right voters are more involved in primaries, so they have more influence in deciding the candidates, while many voters in the middle don't pay attention until the general election.

There should be a rule that a team can only pick 1st once every three years. Teams like Edmonton shouldn't be rewarded for bad player management. They picked 1st three years in a row, and they still can't get their act together.

I thought Hackett gave up one bad goal, but the rest were due to leaving guys open.

You could say the same for Psyek, McCabe, and Ruhwedel. They're learning in the minors. As far as tonight, he's only played one game for Amerks since his injury.
-
Back in the day, hockey goalies wore 1 or 30 and above, D wore 2-6, F wore 7-mid 20s. Part of the problem now is retired numbers, and the other is that once a player is called up from minors he keeps the number even if he's sent back down. For instance, Chad Ruhwedel owns 5 for the Sabres, and no one else can use it as long as he's under contract, even though he's spent most of his time with the Amerks.
-
Exactly, Darcy was always afraid that the player he traded would do better on another team. Murray doesn't care, he's just concerned about putting together this team for the long term.
-
Sabres already have Minn 2016 2nd from Moulson trade. Future picks can always be traded. Maybe in a couple years the Sabres trade some of these picks to fill out the roster for their playoff run. The opposite of today.
-
Trade Stewart to MTL and they can play on a line together.
-
Then they should put Hall, Nugent-Hopkins, and Yakapov back in the draft too.

This tweet was shown on live TV on TSN’s “#TradeCentre” hashtag. It read: “I want the leafs to keep lupul solely based upon the fact that he banged phaneufs wife.” TSN apologized and stopped showing live tweets.

He's a Bizarro Mary Poppins.
-
@john_wawrow: #Sabres Cody Hodgson "In Play?" per TSN... Now that would be something. Please God, yes.
-
Absolutely. Trading Neuvirth and Stewart are the game changers they need to improve the tank. Flynn is interchangeable with "insert Amerk here".

TRADE: Sabres send Brian Flynn to Montreal for a 5th
pastajoe replied to LGR4GM's topic in The Aud Club
Flynn not the game changing trade we need.
