Report: “Another Disconnect” Between Botterill and Krueger

I understand what you're saying.... Give me shots on goal, hits, facoffs and the basic "meat" goalies save% and GAA. I was always decent with numbers, but I'm nowhere near the level of understanding some of the stuff that some of the peeps here come up with. I still feel that the stats are kind of a way to explain so much losing, I'm not sure if winning teams have message boards with similar conversations (I haven't followed a winning team in a decade now ?) -
It's very case to case, the only wrinkle now is that hospitals are hurting badly for patients and admissions, especially in this area.... So some that would be bordeine or would probably be sent home may now be admitted for observation with Covid precautions.
-
We have to assume everyone that comes through the ED has Covid, or at least that's the administrations new "bright" idea. Anyone who has a cough or a fever is basically a Covid rule out. Almost like other disease don't exist anymore. To further this, a patient came in last week, known anemia and on chemo.... Most likely needed a transfusion and that would be it, but because SOB was a symptom, they became a Covid rule out, subsequently admitted for 3 units PRBC, but had that nice Covid tag associated with them. It couldn't be that the anemia caused the SOB like it has for 200 years, Noooo it's Covid.

You think the education you're getting is the whole story? None of us are getting the truth. In a world of analytics and statistics, we can massage the numbers to appear however we'd like.
-
What's really sad through all of this is the sheer number of false reporting, shady business and etc. The WHO has been basically caught covering this up, there are serious reports that Italy falsifyed its numbers, there are many speculations that physicians in NY and the US are counting deaths as Covid without any actual proof and other causes of death. We have Fauci spouting that we can't have an in person electon in NOVEMBER (yeah, that's not shady). We have politicians spouting false science and keeping the general public in a tizzy. This is all coming through to me, as an individual that has actively attempted to avoid as much of this as possible. This recession/depression was not necessary, there were steps that could have been taken short of what we did. But it's all for naught now. I get what you're saying but there are only 6 of them on your doorstep and, those are family members from Kane, PA ? You're probably in the safest county in the US of A

You must be glued to your television and internet through this whole thing...

I imagine Carter in Josie's gym, stuck mid air with a sash wrapped around his lower pelvis ??

That may be wise, or at least check your tires for any issues that will go into the tube. We'll coordinate something soon when the warm stuff is here to stay

If you guys would like to, I would love to meet up for a ride this summer, we could take the bikes out and make a pit stop for wings and brews once the wold normalizes What's bugging ya that's keeping you from riding? Also it's amazing how quick it is to take care of bike issues now, with quick release wheels and etc. Ya know, as long as you prepare ??
-
I got screwed with the thinking that it's just a short ride, still sucked ??

This is very true, I wonder if we were a top team if the information stream of analytics would be so up front. I do appreciate the work of everyone here that puts the work in, hell, I think these posters put more worknin than those that work for the sabres. But at a certain point it's almost like being back in college and looking at work instead of enjoying the sport -

Analytics and metrics have done more harm for the world than good, especially in sports. It takes away the joy from watching the game. I want to see the game and go "man that player sucks or is good" and leave it at that, I don't care what his XGF or corsi or what his Thursday afternoon stretching routine is. The fact we've been so bad, I think fuels the fire of why therefore increasing our want to know more of why. It's as simple as we don't have good enough players, not about analytics. -
I went out yesterday before work for a bike ride, planned on 15 miles or so, I was staying in town at the hotel, it was chilly out. I wore my bike shorts and my jersey with a fleece over it. Ok a little cold but while moving I stay fairly warm.. Until 7.5 miles in, I get a flat, I'm in the middle of nowhere and don't have a spare tube or tire levers, etc... The people I usually call or message aren't up yet, so as I'm trying to get I figure it out it starts pouring and the wind picks up, I'm freezing. I started walking the bike back toward the hotel, about an hour later someone comes and grabs me.... I head into work an icicle

As soon as we have one winning (playoff) season, I assume all this will go away. -
This is true, I just think it is so far down the pipe that it's nearly impossible to turn around. I just know the science behind the medicine pretty well, a lot of the other stuff is over my head, and I'm certainly not getting an MBA anytime soon lol. I think the chances of health care changes hinge on a 3rd party being elected.... Obviously this is never going to happen and I want to Bring this back to Covid and Healthcare (so no political run offs from this please)
-
I don't know about that, have you ever seen an itemized bill for a patient, it's absurd, 30 bucks for napkins, 185$ for fuel for an ambulance ride that goes 4 miles, etc. A lot of that goes up the chain but the providers do benefit with a decent lifestyle. In the face of a pandemic, those costs haven't changed, I've actually seen instances of price gouging from some companies on supplies (although, there has been some benevolence as well).
-
A massive overhaul is dearly needed in the way we deliver Healthcare, it's been very broken for a long time.... But as long as insurance companies, lobbying and medicaid/Medicare are running the show, we are never going to see enough reform needed. I have next to 0% faith that we could even imagine going to a universal type system in our history. I wish there was an easy answer to fixing it all, but there are so many layers and the changes would come at the cost of health care providers making much much less than they are accustomed to. This would then have to be tied into the legalities that also come with modern health care. Either way, I would be willing to take a fairly decent pay cut to make the system better, I just don't think a majority would agree with that.

I once in my youth, stole my friends father's bottle of knob creek, we thought we were badass. We mixed it with root beet and I dubbed the drink "A ***** knob" Now in my more matured age, I realized we ruined a very good bottle with a mixer.

But yet there is no mass hysteria there, people are enjoying their lives still.
