Just got some fresh cod and made proper double fried fish and chips using a British recipe, I'm hooked.

One more top 6 F would really help us theoretically shuffle the lines without the fear of not having the right mix. Unfortunately, we have a GM that is unwilling or incapable of making such a move. I still have a nagging feeling that this season we are going to deal with some injuries and we simply don't have the quality depth at this point to insulate the team from anything that is going to be medium term in nature. Overall, I do think this offseason was a failure in the grand playoff scheme (would Love to be incorrect); this coming after a season ending meeting where our franchise Dman was clearly Unhappy, this is what you do to placate?! Maybe Ras is happy with the moves and he just wanted some better D and JJ gone, hard to speculate, but that's like me going to admin and asking for more help and instead they upgrade the fridge in the break room.

I sort of understand that, Tim Hortons always gives cops free coffee, I typically don't get tickets as I work in the local hospital and the cops have come to me and received care. It's sucks, and it's BS, but tis the way the world unfortunately works

Loved my old house but it was in an HOA (a progressive one at that) but just couldn't do it. I hate them and honestly most people lol. I loved when I would go into my hot tub naked, it was on the front porch but my lot was wooded, people would walk by walking their dogs and get offended by it (I'm pasty😂) Went to a meeting once and addressed it, I said "well, you have to actually be peeping through the trees to see me, it's not wide open, that's what you get for being nosy" Went over SUPER WELL, 😂😂 not... But that's the last complaint I heard from the neighborhood

I LOVED WWF, before they were forced to change names, Randy Savage, bam bam Bigelow, the undertaker, mankind, degeneration x, stone cold, Brett hart etc. Hulk was an icon as much as any other sport celebrity. As I've aged, I don't watch it and find it silly (I don't know how other grown men still enjoy it, but I also don't know how peeps enjoy golf or baseball😜) but man, as a young teen, this and American Gladiators were the mecca of television. It sucks, I grew up in Riverside so I used to go to Canada a few times a week by foot or bicycle as a kiddo. I almost feel like Canada is the same country (at least to me) so it breaks my heart even more with this nonsense.

When I was flying out this week I spent a deal of time in Toronto at the airport, was chatting with some locals and it's really sad to hear their perspective on coming over. Many just aren't, citing hassles at the border and etc... A few even said last time they came across the border patrol was asking their opinions of the political situation and the president, which seems wrong and probably not legal. I don't think the rest of the country understands how much this crap is hurting the local economy and on a larger scale the economy on a whole. Add that to the fact that we haven't properly recovered from the pandemic as of yet and here we are. Just got back from the UK, kicked around for the week but ultimately flew over and saw Tim Minchin in Sheffield, it was an amazing show. So funny and crazy talented on the keys.

I had a case the other evening that was quite involved, icu care, etc etc... During that process I had to cardiovert (shock) a few times. Fast forward to 2 days later, patient was transferred to a tertiary care center and overall doing as well as expected based on the critical nature of the case. Because the ER was busy, the nurses never got around to scanning in the printouts from the code... So cardiology and Crit care were throwing my (and my teams care) under the bus. Using words such as mismanaged and clearly protecting themselves in case the outcome is bad. They only looked at earlier rhythm strips and never even called or sent a message to ask about the case.... I spent the last 2 days gathering all of the data needed to assure these asshats that I do in fact know what I'm doing. Scanned them into the patient chart and send a nice passive aggressive email that I have 20 years experience and maybe they should think before they speak in such a way. Cc'd Admin on it as well. Turns out it was a resident that was causing a stink so I made sure to reach out to the attending this week and have a nice chat about mutual respect. Idk, the Monday morning QB society we have now chaps my @ss

People get all fired up over golf. I play and drink a bit and have a cigar, I'm truly awful, like shooting well over 100 for 18, that probably includes some kicks out of the thick stuff. When peeps are too serious I just let them play through because I'm in no rush. I typically stay to rural courses where it isn't so busy like near the city. I've seen so many "tussles" mostly between old cranky men that would never throw down, but would love to see this go down. Also, such very Canadian accents 😂😂 like letterkenny going down.

As bad as we've been and as bad as it looks like we'll be... We still have to make smart decisions (hopefully to not handcuff the new GM)
