I fear that the checks and balances role of the three branches are nearly completely eliminated at this point. This is a continuation of consolidation of power over good governance.

I am very aware of Delaware North's spread. I also know that some arena have a very good food rep. Are those arenas not Delaware North run? or is there a different tier of service? Or just a choice by Delaware North to do something different there because of the market? And there isn't a gun put to Pegula Sports to contract with Delaware North. They could go a different route if they wanted to.

I imagine there are likely tiers of service that Delaware North supplies. Did the organization drop a tier in service?

I don't have a suggestion for what is happening, just a comment on the overall mess that is game day for these teams. The problems appeared to be common among the two organizations. Are there complaints at other Delaware North controlled arenas, or just the Pegula run ones? Rhetorical question. I don't expect that the folks here would know.

The word was that things were running out well before the end of the game too. That isn't typical Jacob's. They have concession game, even if the food is mediocre. Something ain't right.

The buzz on Twitter is that the Amerks concessions were shytshow last night too. And so was the team. This organization is a mess.

Since we’re going there... Before we had seasons dad would show up at the Aud 5-10 minutes after puck drop to get reduced priced tickets from the scalpers out front. If the tickets were gone we’d watch the first period or two from a bowling alley on the way home. We always “upgraded” our seats about halfway through the 1st period. Always embarrassed me when a late arriver sent us back to the oranges. Was scared stiff when Hajt (think it was Hajt) put Eddie Beers into the zamboni doors head first and Beers went into convulsions on the ice. The first time I could legally buy a Molson at the poor mans Aud Club on the blue level. Witnessed Malarchuck damned near lose his life from 6 rows up from the glass one section over from the zamboni doors. My best friends mom gave us the tickets. They were corporate tickets. She worked for BCBS. Had seats behind the Hartford goal with my now wife in the lower blues on the night they closed her down. Still have the poster they gave away framed on office wall at home.
