His arm, particularly his release, is elite. For such a lengthy build, there is very little wasted motion; extremely efficient. As for his brain, he has no problem making good reads. He blew teams away in that regard while being scouted and during his interview process. He can get us in and out of the right and wrong plays and has been since his first game. If there is an aspect of his mental game I question, it's his poise. He tends to panic and that's when his lower body mechanics breakdown most often. But even when he is collected and in command, he has a tendency be lazy with his feet. He just doesn't set them properly much of the time. I think that is the result of always being able to rely on his arm to make plays and it may be so ingrained that it is not correctable. GO BILLS!!!

The phone stories are great. The goal is to privatize the educational system and make it a for profit enterprise. There is no way in hell teachers will be getting paid more. Quite the contrary in fact. This will have a compounded effect in terms of attracting new and good teachers to the profession. I can actually envision a day when teaching is outsourced to foreign countries via some sort of video method in order to satisfy share-holder demand for better profits.

How else do you evaluate students? Really? A snapshot in time on a test is all you need? If you are citing PISA scores as proof that our students are lagging behind the rest of the world, I can only say it's a myth. Do yourself a favor and obtain one of these standardized tests. It's difficult because they are guarded like our top military secrets. I recommend the one for new kindergartners. They take it early in the school year. Good luck. Most adults have to consult math whizzes and even some of them have difficulties. Now, imagine a five year old tasked with this. And then imagine your job performance evaluation as a teacher DEPENDS on that child's outcome. It's a loaded game being played by deep-pocketed players who have designs on an $80b industry. Their biggest obstacle is busting the teacher's union. And they've been demonizing them for a generation now. They have to in order to curry the public opinion necessary to accomplish the task. In the meantime, in the face of having to "teach to the test" our students, younger ones especially, are denied the well-rounded quality education required. No phsy-ed, no art, music, and other play-related activities vital for the mental, physical, and social development of the students. In short, teachers can't teach anymore. But let's demonize them for doing a bad job in an environment purposely set up and rigged to do just that.

Standardized testing is a scam, pure and simple. But it's a key tool in the push for privatization of our schools which is dependent upon demonizing teachers and busting their union first and foremost. It's one of the biggest money grabs in history. And we are asleep at the wheel.

Plenty have made that argument elsewhere. Those invested in a certain political outcome look at PP as nothing more than an abortion factory when performing that service is a drop in the bucket of what they do and I think that's specious. The fact that they perform more abortions than any other provider is not relevant. Like I said, people can feel that PP has no place, but there are millions who disagree and who rely on the services they provide. And those specific services are NOT always readily available at local community health centers and certainly not on the scale offered by PP.

I seem to recall a story from the early 70s that reported ancient Chinese drawings of acupuncture pathways that depicted renditions of the central nervous system that were remarkably accurate. "For profit" is the buzzword being thrown around as you said. That's why I used it. The focus should be on the rest of my post. What is the "practical" disposal of medical waste, which is what aborted fetuses are considered. Again, I get why it's uncomfortable for some to consider, but for those without their heads in the sand, it's a valid question. I like your analogy to donating one's body to science upon death. It's what I plan to do. Partly because, as Harry Carry once said, if they attempt to cremate me, they will have problems extinguishing my liver.

I think we can all agree that the sale of fetuses and parts for profit is deplorable. Does that mean there isn't beneficial medical research to be gained from aborted fetal tissue? Or from specific organs? I get that it's an uncomfortable thing to discuss. Especially for those that don't support a woman's right to choose. But that ship sailed long ago. The very uncomfortable truth is that aborted fetuses are considered medical waste. Is it better to incinerate that waste or donate it to science? It is dishonest to make the argument that Planned Parenthood is all about providing abortions and nothing else. In fact, performing abortions is a small percentage of their activity. And I'm not surprised that there are those out there who need to make political hay out of the controversy. If you don't think the 97% of their other activity is worthwhile, fine. Millions of others disagree and feel they provide essential health services for those that need them.

Joe B also had EJ as missing "badly" when WRs were running against air, but he was a perfect 9/9. None of this is a defense of EJ Manuel. Also, for whatever it's worth, I know several people who attended today's practice who's opinion I would value over ANY reporter's, especially Joe B's, and they all said Joe B must have been watching a different practice entirely when it came to evaluating EJ's performance today. GO BILLS!!!

IF footwork is an ability? Rest assured it is and I could argue none of a QB's other abilities matter much without it; from executing handoffs and especially in timing patterns. It is vital to be fundamentally sound in this area. EJ is a schizoid of a QB. From the waist up, he is everything you could hope for. From the waist down, a train wreck. GO BILLS!!!

I agree. I like his athleticism and I've heard he's very intelligent, but he hasn't shown me anything from the pocket and he has a tendency to crouch in his drop backs which makes him even shorter while surveying the field. I'll be shocked if he's our starter come the opener. GO BILLS!!!

IMO, this argument about notice is weak. All the notice Brady needs concerning punishment for conduct detrimental, which is what Goodell suspended him for, is contained in Brady's own CBA 'Standard Player Contract.' The language is quite clear. Also, I feel that their reliance on the precedence established in the Peterson case is wrong. Peterson argued that the NFL retroactively imposed a punishment that did not exist at the time Peterson committed the act; there was no notice available. Brady simply cannot make the same claim, again, given the language in his player contract. Not that it matters, but there is a good chance the NFL will prevail in its appeal of the Peterson decision.

Minorities feed the ever increasing for profit, private prison industry in this country. They are easier widgets to manage as they don't have the resources to avoid jail time. And before you call me cynical, do the research yourself.
