I gave my reasoning. Cruise was probably a strong word, but I think they'll still be right up at the top. They've certainly got an inside track at one of the guaranteed playoff slots from finished in the top 3.

Smell, maybe I should explain why I said they are BS. Those tweets come across as complete ramblings. They're just making stuff up. You basically hinted at that with your blue collar comments. They picked a bad name and now they're spinning their tires trying to explain it.

Karmanos kept him around for 20 years, so what does that say about him as an owner if he's not crazy about the guy? But hey, that's the kind of stuff that gets you into the HoF.

They'll probably cruise their way to a division title again thanks to Price (and also Subban). Meanwhile, look at the battle Washington is going to face to even make the playoffs in that suddenly stacked division. I don't know if I put too much weight on Ovechkin's reputation for not being able to carry that team when it matters (possibly unfair), but I just don't believe in that team one bit.

The only place they're finding some scoring depth at this point is via trade. I don't know their system at all though, so I have no idea if they have enough ammo to pull of something decent.

Interesting. If I'm a guy trying to land on a contender, I think I'd head to Montreal before I went to Washington. Price tips the scales in their favor among most of the mid-tier teams in my mind.

Every now and then I see people talk about having all of these different systems. Now I hope you don't take offense to this question, but how on earth do you find time for all of them?

I personally don't believe in it, but lots of people like to push the idea of not trading within the division. Boston seemed to take that approach with Hamilton, so why would they have sent Seguin here? I know it's a different GM now, but from the stuff I've heard on the radio, people seem to think Neely is calling the shots, not Sweeney.

I miss the methodical approach you had to go through to get an NES game to work. And then once you finally thought you had it right, it would reset again and go back to that blinking screen.

Aren't those guys like 8 feet tall? The wear and tear on them from their sport should be a bit different than hockey. I'd be curious to see if there are some examples out there of hockey players going through it... or even non-giants in other sports.

Lombardi can't be too surprised about it though. He had to know Boston would probably send him somewhere else given their current goalie situation. You open the door for Jones to be sent to a close rival when you trade him to a team that doesn't need a goalie.
