  1. I'll be working from home tomorrow (regardless of the weather) and the wife probably gets the day off from school. I figure I'll venture out somewhere with her for lunch. We should be the only ones there.
  2. I don't think there's much of a rush to do so, though. Yesterday's action might force his hand a bit, but there's very little sense in making a trade just to get rid of him. They can sit back and wait for what they feel is a balanced offer.
  3. Clendening (from Niagara Falls) sure is bouncing all over the place, 4 different organizations all within one calendar year. I wonder if he'll ever actually catch on anywhere. He was a very good puck moving d-man in college, but I wonder if all that moving is going to stunt his growth.
  4. Most of the time when it comes to trades, it doesn't matter where a guy was taken in the draft. But here, less than 3 years removed from his drafting, it is very much a factor. There is no "buy low" with him right now. It's going to take a lot more than what people are suggesting here. Personally, I'm not interested. The red flags are too numerous at this point.
  5. The description from LGR sounds exactly like what I'd expect from a guy returning after missing that much time. Like you said, we need to look and see how all of that develops as he gets more starts. There's a whole lot of rust to shake off, and people may not like it, but the only way to shake that off is in the net of multiple NHL games.
  6. 12 cases? Does that mean your homebound for at least a month?
  7. The real shame is that the Patriots are probably out in Denver already.
  8. Sorry, I'm too lazy to read through the thread. How was Lehner?
  9. Good luck to anyone living on the east coast. Based on the news, I'm assuming you're all going to die tomorrow.
  10. He would have been safe in Independence Day as long as he didn't try to get his son a role as well.
  11. Currently flagged in netflix, just never got around to it. That world isn't something that draws in my attention though.
  12. Don't make me angry.
  13. It wasn't on the rims. He was driving with a tire missing.
  14. I'm too lazy to compare them to the rest of the league, but with the exception of one season, Osgood's numbers look pretty crappy post-30.
  15. I take way too much pride in getting an entire orange peel off in one piece.
  16. That "spirits facility" comment caught your eye too, eh?
  17. Scott might actually need one if he's on a two-way contract.
  18. It's not even about that since the roster rules don't allow for them getting the most marketable guys out there. The sole purpose of the game is to give the majority of the league a break while still lining the owners pockets with a so called showcase event. Aren't a bunch of the wild card games on during the day time and also at the same time as another game is being played? Your comparison is apples to oranges. The all star game is prime time and there is zero competition from the rest of MLB on that day. I'm also not so sure how to look at average numbers over the world series given that there is bound to be a lull for games 2-4 depending on the results and also that they're played on different nights with differing competition each night. I'm a little confused by your definition of "hugely popular". What your numbers likely say is that of the people watching the world series, a good number of them also watch the all star game. So it may be popular among baseball viewers, but it's not popular in a broader sense. They can't even win the night during a slow summer schedule and their numbers are headed south each year.
  19. There's enough background there for the character to use and hopefully they do. I can't see them bringing in someone like Smith if they're not going to focus heavily on his character. As for Harley, she should be far more than eye candy and one liners if done right. She should be as batshit crazy as the Joker is. From what they've shown of him, he looks to be very screwed up (I just can't stand the look), so hopefully we get more of that from Harley. I'm just worried from the little I've seen in these clips that the actress won't be able to pull it off. I haven't seen anything else she's done, so I don't know if she's any good or not.
  20. Everyone loves watching the MLB all star game? Check out the numbers here. You'll see a very clear downward trend in every single column (well, except year, but I would hope there'd be an upward trend there  ). All star games are a novelty that people used to watch because it was their one opportunity to see many players that they wouldn't otherwise see all year. That novelty is gone.
  21. It's a very unscientific scale, but I'd say I hear the Eagles more often on the classic rock stations (on XM) than I do Bowie. I've never taken the time to count though, obviously.
  22. A bit easier than that current drive to the DC area
  23. I just wonder which league will be the first one to get it and stop having an all star game. It's a relic of the past, made pointless by the access we have to everything today.
  24. Even 20 years later, I'll stick to their canned and boxed stuff, thank you very much. It's tough to fake that stuff.
  25. Actually had a chicken surgically attached to his head
