  1. When questions start to pop up about a lack of structure and communication, it's completely natural for the very gruff guy like Murray to find himself on the chopping block. I can't picture someone like him ever correcting that type of issue. Maybe he's just a better fit as a completely behind the scenes guy in the scouting department.
  2. Just posted it in the other thread. I will definitely ask around with my friends far more in tune with that program when I get the chance.
  3. Is this sort of like a Sports Illustrated Football Phone?
  4. I might as well chime in on this character thing. I think it's 100% on the front office and not about the players one bit. A pretty clear picture has been painted of a lack of communication from the coach and GM. That's very easy to picture with the persona Murray presents. The whole thing clearly went off the rails in the last couple months and they need to go in a much different direction.
  5. No one shot our dog (where is he anyway) and it's not the end of the world. Let's not throw common courtesy out the window.
  6. I know we're not happy, but I really don't need that word popping up on my screen here at work.
  7. No one. They already have two spare forwards. They roll with them short term.
  8. I'm a little over a mile from the lake, but much higher ground. Our retaining ponds overflowed and flooded the greenway paths, but there was really no sign of trouble in my neighborhood. Then again, since we're all new construction, there really isn't much in the way of trees to be knocked over. The craziest thing to me was that on sunday one day after all that rain, my yard didn't even feel like it was wet.
  9. My brand new tv is on the wall, ready to go. Hockey was my main motivation for the buy.
  10. Have people not realized yet that you should never make a bet involving the Bills? All they do is disappoint, even when you pick them to lose.
  11. He doesn't have a contract. You can't suspend someone who isn't your employee. But yes, they do get cap relief if he's not on the team. His entire $0 salary no longer counts against the cap.
  12. It's certainly far more possible than at any point in not so recent memory. They've got a shot on one single day to sweep them and it's also at home. Even if there's only a 25% chance they win that, it's still miles ahead of where they've been been in ages.
  13. I've got my webers mustard ready and two sahlen's hot dogs on the grill. Time for a nice lazy lunch while working from home.
  14. The 61 year old? Did I miss a joke by only reading the last post?
  15. I'm pretty sure I came up with the same thing when I looked yesterday. And it's the streakiest 9-7 of all time, nothing but multi-game winning and losing streaks. Interesting schedule
  16. Mini-LGRs? Things just got even more bleak in this thread
  17. Even google isn't helping me
  18. Yes. There's a thread for that garbage.
  19. Have you seen the videos of bass lake? There's a hell of a lot of water out there. I can't wait to explore a bit tomorrow and see how much water is left
  20. Take the political crap somewhere else
  21. I just searched for this Trump thing and CNN actually drops an f-bomb in their story about it. I wonder how long that lasts until they clean it up.
  22. That's actually looks like more than St Louis gave up. This Pochiro kid looks like someone who hasn't been able to make it above the ECHL so far, granted its only one year. I'll have to read up on him, but at first glance it kind of looks like St Louis moved one of their bottom contracts to make this happen. I feel like these two teams have made several deal in recent years. That may be from before Chiarelli though.
  23. My wife keeps asking me if she should come to the hospital after work but I'll tell her to go about her normal day and get her work done. Maybe I'm wrong to do it, but I don't want her to have to revisit any of her experiences from that winter.
  24. My dad moved into an assisted care home at the start of september. Two nights ago they found him passed out on the floor. When they woke him up, the side of his face was droopy, so they thought he may have had a stroke. Yesterday, at the hospital, they determined that it was bell's palsy and not a stroke. In the process though, they found a mass in his brain. He's scheduled for surgery on monday.
