The Bills over the past few years have shown this ability to play well against good opponents, then turn around and play down to lesser teams. It’s baffling.
-
Defense shows up and the offense goes haywire. This 2nd half opening drive will be huge. Get some momentum.
-
Vrabel is overrated.
-
I predicted this when Vrable got hired. NE going to be a tough go every time from here on out. Bills are sloppy and the playcalling is horrendous. Need major adjustments.
-
Some Sabres' Benny Hill ***** early here.
-
The fact that they sent Dunne down after the camp he had tells me everything was in fact predetermined before camp started. Dunne earned a spot in my opinion.
-
All of that might be true, but you again didn't name the actual mentors. My point is I do not think the Sabres spend much effort bringing in those type of players and thus don't have many of them. I'm really not worried about which path they choose for him. I'm just glad they didn't stick him on the NHL roster already.

You simply do not understand how hockey teams come together and never will. The second game got out of hand, that's fair, but I guarantee you these games galvanized both rosters.

This one is going to put me to sleep

The problem isn’t attracting high end free agents as it is keeping your best players who no longer want to be associated with an inept franchise that they don’t believe is and will be a serious franchise. We had Eichel, Reinhart, Montour and Ullmark on the team. They all wanted out and got out. A dysfunctional organization is never an appealing work place to be at or go to.

I can’t stop laughing about your reply @Eleven. Perfect! Well done.

You can really program people. Logic and reason have no impact .We have always been at war with Eastasia.

https://www.nhl.com/stats/teams?reportType=season&seasonFrom=20242025&seasonTo=20242025&gameType=2&sort=goalsFor&page=0&pageSize=50 This report on the team stats page on NHL.com has Montreal at 243 goals and the Sabres at 265. The Standings page https://www.nhl.com/sabres/standings/2025-04-17/division has Montreal at 245 and Buffalo at 265 Not sure where the 2 goals went. Those reports also have a 4 goal discrepancy between goals against for Montreal. The team stats page shows 261 against, while the standings page shows 265. Not sure the reason for that difference either.

It would make sense Pegula would rather win. Buffalo has never attracted high end players in free agency and we're on many no trade clause lists. When re-builds are decided on, it's like turning around a cruise ship. He's tried a lot of different things and nothing has worked. I'm glad the Sabres are worth a lot of money, in part it's a compliment to the fans. I hope we make the playoffs and think the roster is good enough to do it.

Last weekend I had the opportunity to see the incredible Ruthie Foster at a small music hall in Golden, CO. If you like Blues with a tinge of folk and rock in there, she's as good as it gets. Incredibly tight band. Her personality is like a ray of sunshine and comes through in her Aretha Franklin-esque singing. I am not exaggerating - if she's playing near you sometime do yourself a favor and check it out.

I mean if you think it’s funny people in general are doxxing and swatting, whatever. It puts families in danger which I’m guessing is why they wear masks. SWAT teams wear masks depending on what they’re doing. Undercover cops wear masks and they pose as not being cops. As far as vetting goes what you said is not true. Their vetting program lines up with programs I have seen for decades. https://www.ice.gov/careers/vetting DHS uses the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency as its Cognizant Security Agency. DCSA is pretty much the largest CSA in terms of the number of agencies that do their vetting through them. As far as throwing people around, the days of surrounding people and blocking vehicles are done. Regular citizens quit putting up with this. People aren’t intimidated by these tactics or being screamed at anymore. It is extremely dangerous to allow a crowd to surround your vehicles and block routes of movement. Protesting is fine but trying to intimidate doesn’t fly.

Canadian friends. Remember Amanda Marshall? She was in town opening for Bryan Adams but before that show, she played a free mini show at Red Bird Brewing. My friend works there and saved us two seats. Incredible voice. Fantastic 5 song set.
