clink Posted 10 hours ago Report Posted 10 hours ago Hopefully, Kevyn isn't being kept on board with a different title I don't EVER want to see his smug beak around these parts again!!! Quote

Bring in a coach that will institute a sound structure. Would also help if the GM wasn't being artificially limited by what he can do by a self-imposed salary cap. 1 Quote

In my opinion this doesn’t make them bad people. A couple thoughts on that: When someone advances to a new position, they invariably don't know all the job entails and they have to "fake it till they make it". I've had my current position about 16 years now and there are still times I have to fall back on that. The people who are most likely to recognize they are in over their head are the smarter ones and they know to reach out for help. But as @tom webster says, just because someone is in over their head doesn't make them a bad person. 1 Quote

I am fine with A GM who’s had some success albeit a little bit, over KA. Lets hope he has free reign and makes some much needed bold moves. Probably not, but DeBoer did grow up in Dunnville, Ontario, about 45 miles from the boarder and he grew up a Sabres fan. One can hope. 3 Quote

Wonder where he ends up next season, if anywhere. Did Adams accompany the team on the trip? Would be funny that he returns, thinking he can enjoy Christmas after the 3 game winning streak. He’s told Terry wants to see him and thinks “He wants to congratulate me on a successful road trip. Maybe I’ll get a Christmas bonus.” NOT! Quote

The reporting makes it sound like Adams did go on the trip. @Brawndo, can we get a confirmation either way on whether Kevyn did get to enjoy his last hurrah in person? Quote
Scottysabres Posted 10 hours ago Report Posted 10 hours ago We all knew this was coming, and Jarmo as the new GM had a no surprise. 15 yrs wandering in the darkness of the deep forest, are we about to see some light at the edge of the forest? Maybe. Quote

Maybe Jarmo was already pulling the strings before the win streak started. Maybe he pushed to get Östlund back in the lineup. Or maybe none of that is true and I look like a jackass saying it. It would not be the first time 1 Quote

I swear, this vid is from the Ice Plex Formerly known as Bill Gray's Ice Plex The flaming zamboni is not surprising Rink #3 has this notorious beveled edge, which starts about 6" from the boards I always HATED playing on that Ice, afraid that someday my skate would get caught and bye bye ACL/MCL/PCL/etc Quote

Come on now, you all are better than that. This man gave his heart and his soul to this organization and deserved better from management and us as fans. Y'all just wait. Within 1 month of Jarmo's tenure, you'll be begging for the return of the mac daddy edit: I mean come on, he deserved at least another 2 years Pretty good sarcasm 👏 Quote

One can hope. Don’t know if DeBoer and Jarmo have any prior relationship. But for the love of all that is holy if he can be had, get him in here by the Olympic break at the latest. Implement systems and evaluate talent firsthand for the balance of the year. Be part of developing a offseason plan to improve the roster. Don’t waste half of the 26-27 season doing those same things. 2 1 2 Quote
