I'm not sure that is the case. The speculation became louder and more credible. Why prolong announcing a decision that has already been made and evident to most people? There is no easy way to do it. So just do it and move on and not allow this issue to hover over the departed employee. It's going to be interesting to see if KA is still involved with the Pegula business in some manner or just cut loose from the Pegula business in toto.

And if you want to do something to save the season, sooner the better.

I can see why people thought that of him.  And I don’t know him well enough and don’t know what ever happened behind closed doors, but he never came across like that in person.

One needs to justify their feelings of hatred. Like painting every move by Adams as failure.

First order of business: Settle on 2 goalies.

2nd Order of business: Tuch

The Tuch issue is what I will be closely watching. Basically, it's mostly in his hands whether he wants to stay or move on. This will be a big decision for the player and the new GM. If the GM concludes that he doesn't want to be here, I don't see the new GM hesitating to deal him and move on. My preference is to get a deal done.

Thank fckn God! I can't even believe this crap went on for so long. I told my son last night that if they want to send a message, fire him the second he gets off that plane last night, amid a 3 game win streak. Let's just hope some moves are in the works to save Dahlin and Tuch.

Now let's get Jarmo fired.

Weird but not interested in that currently. The most important question is does Jarmo actually have the power to make substantive changes or is he restricted to making trades and roster management? How much approval must Pegula give him before he does something like trade Tuch or fix the goalie debacle? If he is still tied to Terry's whims, how much change will we really see?

I only respect front office personnel who have long tales about going incognito to Buffalo bars to get the laymans feel for the state of the team.

Guess that 3 game win streak came just a smidge too late from Adams' perspective.

Wonder where he ends up next season, if anywhere.

Do mean where he ends up in the NHL? Where he ends up in the Sabres org? Where he ends up in general?

I guess he could probably be a good assistant to the Assistant Athletic Director for the ECC Kats

(It is always bonkers to me that the local CC spells cats with a K (Kats))

Not really sure what you are talking about. I made no comments on the winning streak having any impact on KA's employment.

I'm kinda shocked and thrilled by this news, though.

Sorry Swamp, I must have confused you with someone else.
Glad this was done!

Still waiting for some additional red X’s from Thorny because that’s just what he does.

I'm sorry but what "extensive search" is Terry talking about in his statement? They clearly brought in Jarmo this offseason with the plan that if it didn't work, Kevyn would be replaced by him.

The Sabres were in last place in the Eastern Conference before their three game winning streak began, and currently sit in last place in the Eastern Conference.
The decision was made during the road trip and they were waiting for Jarmo’s Ok to announce it

the confusion is a product of terrible writing.

i think they're saying it was an extensive search to find a senior advisor.

The extensive search consisted of all the candidates who said no way in hell.

Yeah, this does nothing for me... we are just promoting from the same internal pool of failure...  more of the same to come...
