Never said Jarmo was an idiot, I don’t see his success in Columbus to be that appealing. Yes, they have made the playoffs but they ain’t all the great either.

His draft history is great though. He got 1-2 NHL caliber players (quick too) from like 8 straight years. That's pretty solid.

First things first.  Jarmo is a better GM than KA.  The real question is will TP give him the autonomy he needs to make the right moves from the coaches, to the staff, to the players and with the appropriate internal budget to get things done.  If TP limits Jarmo in any of these areas, then nothing is going to change for the better.

For those saying nothing will happen. These rumours got out and the Sabres would have quickly released a statement saying there is no truth to these unfounded rumours. Instead they officially said “no comment

Sonething is coming.

In defense of their historic ineptitude, nothing can also be "something" 😋

From 32 Thoughts this morning.
There is definitely noise with here, not sure about when the clarity will come Monday or Tuesday.

Spoke about the subtle ways teams put out fires when rumors start and that has not been done in this situation.

Adams has not been in a good mood on the trip even with them winning the last three and wonders if he and the people around the organization know something is coming.

Friedman mentioned the Sabres have too many cooks in the kitchen and this predates Jarmo.

Jarmo tried to stay out of the way and get a true opinion on the organization and as time went on he started to offer his opinion.

The last thought was we will see what happens but it has that feel around the organization.

It's been 17 years since this nonsense about coaching started, and still I have to tell people that the coach is not the problem.

Geez.

I’m just giving my opinion that I don’t think a coaching change will be made during the season. Will that come to pass? I don’t know. Will there soon be a GM change? I think so but really don’t know.

@Brawndo is our resident mole. If you don’t know where he is at the first place to check is behind one of the curtains. He’s our in-house sneak. 😎

Isn't that what Adams did?

Yes on Adams: Only if he completely strong-arms the  RFAs and mangles their relations, then fails to get a goalie.

No on Adams: But if he nurtures the toughness of Doan and Benson and finds a real coaching staff…

Adams has been in over his head from day one. He same in as ‘hatchet man’ ( cutting staff) and created a toxic culture IMO. Then he goes in front of the mic to say he wants guys who ‘want to be here’ while also putting his excuse that Buffalo, NY (palm trees/taxes) are the problem.

TP got communication he wanted on his bottom dwelling team, fans got THIS.

Overall, KA has made this team worse (shocker!).

KA this morn has to feel like the old man who fell in his bathroom and got hurt and couldn't get up, and had no hope of rescue because Janine died the previous year, no one ever visited, and he left the LifeAlert in his bowl of Werthers, and then the cat called 911.

Is the team playing better because they know Adams will be gone soon and that is giving them a modicum of hope?

Maybe.

Or maybe it's them finally getting healthy.

Or maybe it's finally putting Lyon back between the pipes with a healthy team and both are playing towards their potential.

Or maybe it's just them getting to play a string of bad teams and one that's good but underperforming in the 1st half of the schedule once again.

We see what we want.  So, sure, it's because they expect positive changes might soon be made.  Of course, there's only a handful at best that should feel secure in their role should a new set of eyes be placed in charge; so would that cause them all (or most of them) to play better to try to be able to stay a part of the team as it presumably moves in the right direction or would that cause them to grip their sticks tighter as their personal futures are less secure?

No idea.  Maybe it's a little of all of it.  Just hoping this expected move actually happens and that it does trigger better play.  This season doesn't have to be lost yet.

Jarmo’s Father passed away on Sunday. This might delay the announcement

Well, that would explain his being in Finland the past few days.

Condolences to him and his family.  May his dad RIP.

My condolences to Jarmo and his family. We recently lost a person close to us. This is going to be a very tough time for Jarmo.

Well *****. I was just coming on here to post a waiting GIF. I’m sorry to hear about his loss. I’ve been there with both my parents. It’s a tough time and I hope they give him the time he needs.
