Ras has his excuse. What's Tage's? I'd imagine its some combination of playing both C and W, and with a laundry list of players. Now onto the what 5th center he's played with? Norris, Kulich, Greenway, Östlund, Krebs. Off Wings have been Benson, Rosen, Doan, Tuch, zucker. Buffalo has played 14 games - the only consistent element to his game this season has been a total lack of cohesion with his linemates. Quote
Trettioåtta Posted 4 hours ago Report Posted 4 hours ago Right choice. (Understandably) he is clearly not able to fully focus. What you hope to see is the team stepping up, showing him he can focus on his home life without guilt, because they'll pick up the slack Quote

The schedule the rest of the month looks really tough. There's a pretty real possibility this team finishes the month in too big of a hole to get out of. Quote

He is going home for “soul searching” 3. He will come back with an ultimatum How about this: 1. He now knows the team, any team, is not the most important part of his life. 2. He wants to be home to check on her, be with her, and let her know his true feelings, all of which will help both of them. 3. He will come back when he feels he can’t do any more, and he will be grateful for the support from the Sabres Team and organization. 4 2 Quote
JoeSchmoe Posted 3 hours ago Report Posted 3 hours ago Lots of really nice people on this board. Nicer than me for sure. I kind of come away thinking people in Dahlin's pay bracket should probably have their significant others moving with them to where they work. I guess it's a little more complicated since they're not actually married yet. Would the Swedish hospitals be superior to the Buffalo hospitals? That said, I wish her all the best in her recovery. Hopefully this is not actually a setback and she's actually doing okay as the post suggested. Quote
LTS Posted 3 hours ago Report Posted 3 hours ago I'm glad he's doing this and I can't be bothered to try and assign a reason why he's doing it, let alone the timing of why he's doing it. At least not in a way that would attempt to explain HIS thinking. I think there's plenty of people who are attempting to explain HIS thinking when they are really explaining THEIR thinking as they pretend to be in the situation. So, in the vein of throwing out wild ideas. He realized that they needed a roster spot so Geersten doesn't need to be waived and they can keep 3 goalies on the roster. Or.. he fondly recalls those games in Sweden in 2019 and realized it was the 6 year anniversary and decided he wanted to go back to celebrate. Or.. I'm glad I have no reference to compare it to. I'm glad I'm not that much "stronger" for having to work through it. I can however honestly say I wish they never had to go through it either. I can't even imagine. 1 Quote

They need new hero's every night. It is team game and they need to hang in there together. Edited 3 hours ago by Pimlach 1 Quote

Yea, I have stated a bunch I think they're a 85ish pt team. I think in the prediction thread I gave them 95pts and playoffs but quite a few have been saying this team is roughly the same but with good goaltending. Quote

The Sabres ***** up with Jack Eichel and it has cost them / us dearly did anyone else see the JJP " mic'd up" opening faceoff vs Tuch? He said to Tuch "you can not believe how well they treat us" meaning the organization As you said and I 100% agree - Sabres need to be known as a team that support their players. Eventually that will pay them back on spades. Hopefully Dahlin can reset mentally. However, I still think having his offseason routine disturbed is a major factor in his play. So I don't think we will see the "elite" level of play this season Quote
