This organization, in its current form, is so far from the playoffs it isn't even funny. I don't care about the loser points they've been stacking. Those are losses and that point is charity. They're bread crumbs from the league to keep fans of poverty franchise like this hopeful until the real teams pull away.

A real team, with a real chance at the playoffs, cannot lose a game like this. That was utterly pathetic on every level and a perfect microcosm of the Adams era.

Forget the flaws on the roster, forget injuries. This team gets either no or really poor coaching. Not sure which would be worse. Additionally, the empty suit GM has failed to develop any culture here outside of "we've sucked for 15 years."

Fire everyone. ***** this team.

Ok, the easiest/quickest way to "fix" this team:

Owen Power: Play him with Kesserling, no one else.  It seemed like the plan, and in the few minutes they have played together they have been good. Do not experiement with him with anyone else. He's not playing well with anyone else but looks comfortable with Kesserling.

Tage:  Please, PLEASE stop experimenting with him on crazy lines. Play him with either Tuch or Benson at all times.

Quinn:  Press Box. He hurts the team too much.

UPL:  Done with him.  Don't even count his play and goals allowed, at this point I don't the the rest of the team trusts him and likes playing in front of him.

Doan:  Hes on the PP, He just stands in front of the net. All the time.

 

Of course a LOT of others stuff can be done. But to me those moves alone get the team back on track.

2 goals on 17 shots! Man, that's about as bad as it gets! Shutout by a goaltender who was giving buy one, get one free goals!

With the upcoming schedule, I see a 6 game losing streak

i don't see how they win any of the next 4 on the road.  Maybe if one of the teams takes a night off like the Sabres did today 

I don't think you can play UPL again.  I hate to be too hard on a goalie when you get shut out but he has to make the save on the 2nd goal.  This team isn't good enough to overcome a bad goal against every single game he starts

Was following here. This is the single most depressing game thread in Sabres history. Everything is negative.  I did not have any hopes of playoffs since i see 6 teams better than the Sabres in our own division.

I think there is something to the above bolded.

The Sabres seemed to dominate overall play, but didn't get too many super high quality chances. It wass almost as if they were always thinking they had to get back quicker because they do not trust their goalie.
