Flashsabre Posted 2 hours ago Report Posted 2 hours ago (edited) Rasmus is looking like a guy whose partner almost died and needed a heart transplant. I wonder if when Kesselring is back if they sit him for a game and just let him get his head right. Feel for the guy right now. Edited 2 hours ago by Flashsabre 1 Quote

ska-T Palmtown Posted 2 hours ago Report Posted 2 hours ago 6 points in 8 games ... most teams kill for that kind of production on D. 1 Quote

I’m just saying he doesn’t seem himself out there and I think his mind is obviously elsewhere. He’s producing but he is making a lot of uncharacteristic mistakes out there too Edited 1 hour ago by Flashsabre 1 Quote

He’s producing but he is making a lot of uncharacteristic mistakes out there too I was actually thinking he was pressing a bit early on when nothing was working for the team. He seems to be a bit more relaxed now that he sees everyone is finally chipping in. I seem to recall several "WTF?" moments with him last year, too. High risk, high reward. That said - I feel for the guy ... what they went through, I cannot even begin to fathom. ❤️ 1 Quote
Brawndo Posted 1 hour ago Report Posted 1 hour ago Dahlin traditionally starts slow not worried about him yet 1 1 Quote

Kind of inexcusable really. It all worked out thanks to Tuch with a shortie but that was not a great look from your captain. Quote
Flashsabre Posted 1 hour ago Author Report Posted 1 hour ago And to clarify I didn’t mean sit him because he’s not playing well enough I meant giving him a game if they feel mentally he just needs a break with everything going on in his personal life. Quote

He'll ask for that if he needs it. Some people need it, some would prefer to just get back into things. 3 Quote

I'd imagine his offseason training program was probably messed up quite a bit, so not really surprising he isn't at the level we expect. As for needing a break, its Impossible for us to know but my guess would be playing the game he loves is probably the best for him right now as mentioned by Brawndo, he often starts slow and it's not like he's been bad Best news for us is that they are looking good without him at his best, plus Kesselring is going to be a huge improvement over Bryson / Metsa So maybe things get even better for us as Sabres fans? He’s producing but he is making a lot of uncharacteristic mistakes out there too This is a big assumption based on no evidence. He's had games/stretches with errors and sloppy mistakes every year. It's who he is. great moments and then trying too hard or getting caught out of position, give aways. I don't really see anything different from previous years. In terms of the D, imo, Dahlin is fine. Same as always. Byram I still don't see the hype. Metsa is a marginal NHLer/AHLer. Timmons has been better than I expected, very stable and reliable. Samuelsson has been much better than expected. Maybe even playing up to his contract. Power still looks like a guy who is gifted at hockey but doesn't really care about being a hockey player. He's going to do it cause it pays well but he'd rather be a jazz singer (or whatever it is he does when not skating). Quote

There are threads about it. Quote
