Give McAvoy credit. I think McAvoy is a fantastic defenseman.  

A shot into what? The wall of bodies and sticks between him and the net?

We all comment about when Tage will want out but he’s supposed to be one of the guys leading by example. Without his above average shot he does not bring a lot to the table this season.

Krebs didn't shoot it wide.  His fumble of receiving the pass gave Swayman time to get across and get a glove on it.  That needed to be a 1 timer.  If it was, Krebs would've had the Sabres 1st goal of the year.

The only real question remaining with this club is do they clean house in November and actually see if by some miracle they can save their season or do they (far more likely) wait until April to do it. Either way I feel fairly safe saying this “should” be the final year of the Ruff/Adams experiment. Any other sports franchise I’d be 99% sure of this. With the Sabres it’s 50/50 at best they do anything consequential.

I know that it defies belief that Adams is still here, but I do think that he will be relieved of duties before the end of this calendar year. That’s how bad I think this is gonna get. 

Again, I know he seems unfireable, but he’s not, and my early prediction is he’s gone before 2026 when we have the worst record in the league and Sabres players’ agents start putting out warnings

My assessment is that they were terrible for 2 periods and then played better in the 3rd.  Another incomplete game and a lot of mistakes.  The forward lines look like they are not together, just like the start of last year.  No one is in synch.  

I don’t like the effort.  The big guns are silent.  Lyon kept them in it   

Tage, Tuch, Dahlin - if they don’t step up and carry this team it’s going to be a very long season.  This roster is pretty much mediocre at best. 

Blaming Tage for the last play, I understand the frustration,  but McAvoy made an amazing play on the puck and on Tages stick.   

The power play is a terrible again.  The PK has been decent. 

I don’t think Lindy is getting this team to play to their potential.  I think he is done as a HC, and we already know his staff is not good.

We legitimately look like we are playing without a top line. You’re not going to win games in the NHL very often that way.

I had a simple evening out with nice friends and am grateful. I did see the final score. I'm so glad I saw nothing of this. I sincerely do applaud all my spacer's who did withstand seeing any of this.

Tage and Dahlin actually both have their golden parachutes ready for later in the year or offseason. Both have long term deals and 31 other teams that will gladly trade for them. There is ZERO pressure on either of them if this season goes south. They have seen the path forward multiple times by others to get out of this clown show. I fully expect one or both of them to use it. Quite frankly Tuch would be insane to sign here as well when he can have his choice of destinations in a few months.
