If Norris' injury recovery is the projected 8+ weeks, he's going to miss 24+ games (Dec 1 return). So... there's your max games played under 60 (and he's got 1 already). Think of how much ground we’ll make up on the Cozens front though: every game Norris simply misses he’s benefiting the team relative to what Cozens did while playing. verdict: won the trade 3 minutes ago, jad1 said: I wouldn't even bring perception into this and just say 'reality is reality.' My point is that merely firing Adams aids in perception regardless of the reality of Terry being a doofus 1 1 Quote

Whoever the utter yokel is who signed Cozens to that deal should pay That's a separate conversation and I agree it was a bad contract, hence I said you couldn't get more in a trade. We're a desperate franchise that has to take risks like that sometimes. That one was a bad one and it's compounding with Norris hurt. Quote
JoeSchmoe Posted Wednesday at 01:30 AM Report Posted Wednesday at 01:30 AM (edited) Any updates on Norris? Also... Just throwing this at the wall to see if it sticks, but when Norris goes on LTIR, does his salary come from the team (Terry) or some insurance plan? If so, could his high potential for LTIR made him more attractive to Terry, esp given Cozens was almost as big of a sink $ wise? This is conspiracy theory stuff I know so go easy on me, but when I see how easily Norris got hurt, I wonder if there could be more to his injury history than we know about. How much the team knew is where I get thinking. 🤔 Edited Wednesday at 01:31 AM by JoeSchmoe Quote

I'm pretty sure there is and that they're glad they don't have to pay a player out of pocket. Quote

And for someone injury prone, the policies aren't cheap. (If you want to know how likely an event is, price out an insurance policy on it and figure the insurance company plans to net out across all its policies about 12% profit. So, look at the policy value, the policy cost, and that profit factor and you get a rough likelihood of what a pro considers the likelihood of that event happening.) Any policy on Norris would have at least 30 games missed as being the expectation. So, he must be EXPENSIVE to insure. Don't know if they'd have him insured against single season injury or not. 1 Quote

Smithers, trade Cozens for a player with an absolute horrible injury history, a real train wreck of a player, with a somewhat equal salary. I honestly could see Terry doing something like this. Quote
