Next option is to watch the WNBA playoffs. When option A is not available then go to option B. It was on ESPN+ let night if you have it. I don't get the NHLs whole thing about not showing every preseason game. I mean they aren't even for sale. 1 Quote

There are four other NHL GAMES on espn+ that I can get right now. This is a Buffalo Sabres limitation. Quote

So I'll listen for a while. Quote

Their preseason home games at least should be on MSG Quote

That restriction makes no sense to me. Do they want more fans? 2 Quote

Am guessing it's more on the NHL's & the individual teams' "broadcast partners." They likely aren't going to get enough viewers to be able to sell advertising at any reasonable rate and they have "exclusive" rights to games in the team's barn. Since the BJ's were showing last night's game on TV, the Sabres were allowed to do so as well. And because the game was on the regional networks that ESPN+ has rights to broadcast, they showed it as well. MSG wanted nothing to do with tonight's game, so the Sabres are showing it to all 36 of us in the area that want to watch but not attend and the BJ's website is showing it as well. Expecting you have to be in the greater C-Bus area to watch their feed; just know it isn't available here in WNY. 1 Quote

Again, fully expect the Sabres would love to have all 314 people that want to watch the game be able to watch it, but MSG isn't selling any ads because advertisers don't want to pay for 314 sets of eyeballs and MSG has the exclusive rights to the Sabres games that don't end up on ABC, ESPN, nor TNT, so they aren't exercising their rights and they also aren't subletting the rights to any other carriers. One more way the Sabres deal w/ MSG stinks for the fans. 1 Quote

SABRES 0311 Posted 2 hours ago Report Posted 2 hours ago I can’t even listen on WGR because I’m out of market. How do you make teams play regular season games in other countries to grow the sport but don’t let fans listen on the radio if they’re in a different region of the U.S.? Quote

They don't have the money of foreign markets. 2nd period -- listening in -- and there it is. "Sabres from right to left" Dan helps me out. Quote

Taro T Posted 1 hour ago Report Posted 1 hour ago There goes the season-long shutout. Deflection on the PP of a shot from the point. BJs - 1 Sabres - 0 Just over 11 minutes left in the 2nd. Quote
DarthEbriate Posted 1 hour ago Report Posted 1 hour ago Outshot them 9-1 through the beginning of the period and trailing 1-0. That was one very disinterested goal call. I realize it's the opponents, but there's not even sadness or "oh no". It's the same tone the entire time. Quote
Huckleberry Posted 1 hour ago Report Posted 1 hour ago Yeah bad geo location for me too, I mean im from freaking Belgium, but NHL.com never lets me watch games for some reason. But end of last year even the illegal streaming sites are blocking my country, going to start needing a vpn I guess. 1 Quote
