Well, two of them are currently up with the Sabres. That said, Helenius and Metsa look very good. I’m surprised at what they’re getting from Kuntar so far and Novikov is a steady force on the back end. Levi has been stellar, his last couple games notwithstanding. The Amerks as a whole are a grittier bunch.

Is Levi ready to move up to the big league, or would it be better for him to stay in place and get more experience? I appreciate you and @inkman's Rochester reports.

Imo, let Levi continue to cook in the A unless injury disasters necessitate a call-up.

When you watch him play do you find him to be a consistent performer or are there games where he is noticeably off?

Levi has been solid. Had a bad game last week but he’s still one of the best goalies in the league.  He’ll be ready soon, maybe later this season if they unload UPL.

He’s very consistent. Once in a blue moon he has a stinker like all goalies have, but he’s a steady force between the pipes. The four gosls against last night look bad at first glance, but he had zero chance on two of them and he made a bunch of key saves to keep them at four.

Isn't what I wrote or have ever said.

Bedkowski, stupid pick and I've laid out 2 other players that will have better careers. Luca Romano and Kristian Epperson

Kleber, mediocre with the other talent there which includes Ryder Ritchie, Tanner Howe, and Kamil Bednarik.

Your opinions.

“Just because your name’s Devon Levi doesn’t mean you can’t get pulled,” Leone said. “I know he’s a really good goalie but it’s not about him, it’s about the team. We believe in him, but at the same time part of your development is, we need a save.”

Wow. Is that a quote? Sounds like a certain goalie is high on his own supply.

I have the AHL package and Levi has been shaky of late, even in games he won.

Like this Leone guy; demands from his players and isn't afraid to call out our golden goose for a lack of steady play.

Him and Vinny seem to get it. Prospal last year basically said that if Kisakov didn't work hard on the ice he wasn't going to get any ice. The Sabres let the kid go this summer.

Did the organization finally hire the right guy. I'd rather have Leone than Appert be heir apparent to Ruff

They might've.

At any rate he seems to be significantly better than Appert.  (Not that that's saying much.)
