Where do you play Roslovic?

not positive.  But guarantee we can find a spot for him.

Maybe something like:

Benson  Kulich  Thompson

Doan Norris Tuch

Zucker  McLeod  Roslovic

Quinn  Krebs  Greenway

Malenstyn Danforth (only carrying 7 D to start, waiting for the inevitable injury to Norris or Greenway)

It’s going to be an interesting camp. There are so many different approaches to take in constructing the lines. What is apparent in this Roslovic discussion is that by bringing in another second/third line player it offers a lot more options when putting together lines. KA needs to bring in another forward before camp begins.

I would care a lot more about line combos if the coaches weren't crap. Truly is an off-season with next to zero excitement

I would not want to work in the Sabres season ticket office….how do you sell tickets with no excitement?!?!  Pegula can fire his entire Marketing staff since they have nothing to do.

Yep.  Not a great job to have right now.   I am sure they listen to angry fans daily.

The players from the Hockey Canada trial have been found innocent.

What are people’s thoughts if the Sabres brought in McLeod’s brother or Carter Hart?

Wow.  Not guilty.  Interesting.

I’d imagine Carter Hart. He will have a ton of interest.

Would Sabres look at McLeod to play with his brother.

Hart, from Alberta, could be an Oilers target. He could be the goalie they need. Hometown discount?

Ill say this, keeping the trial and thoughts about that outside of it. Michael is a decent hockey player, he is a big bodied defensive center. And he has played for Lindy before, in fact he sorta seems like a Paul Gaustad type, I think Lindy probably loves the way he plays hockey. He has fought a list of heavy weights and handled himself well. If the trial was not a thing, this kind of an add would be just what the Sabres need .

Michael McLeod is a strong-skating, two-way center known for his speed, compete level, and defensive responsibility. He is a physical player who excels at winning puck battles and contributing in all three zones. While originally drafted as a highly skilled offensive player, he has developed into a reliable defensive forward in the NHL

Keeping it just about the hockey, he would be a good add. I just do not know if Buffalo and Terry would allow this. I'm sure NHL teams will take them on, look at sports in general, if players can play we tend to forget about off ice/field/court stuff very fast.

This delves into an area of significant discomfort for me.

I realize they were acquitted, and that means they are free to live their lives as free men.  But that doesn’t change my discomfort given the nature of the charges.

If the Sabres signed any of them I would not complain.  But I wouldn’t celebrate it either.  I would need some getting used to time.  And frankly, they would need to be model citizens for a bit before I warmed up any.

Thats just me.  No judgement on any else’s opinions on this.

It is also dependent on what other info may come out in the future.

I followed the trial with some regularity and it's gross regardless of the acquittal. Idk if I'd want any of these guys on my team but ik the nhl and hockey won't care.

I think it’s going to take some time, but they’ll eventually sign. The team signing them will then have to navigate a media storm for a bit.

We were talking a while back about how several teams this year were leaving cap space and we speculated it was for next year's big list of FAs but now I'm wondering if one or more team was anticipating this result.

The cap increase was larger than the past few years while the crop of UFAs was weaker. I think cap space will be plentiful for a few teams until the deadline when they can take on salary for the teams that join the playoff arms race.

Agents are salivating for the next few years as there will be a bidding war if McJesus hits the market and crazy money will be thrown at others. Not many owners will have an internal cap.

Gone are the days when KA had the advantage of cap space to weaponize.
