If we picked a guy with too much of an ego to skill ratio then trade him. Things to be mad about but this isn’t one Unless we end up getting some other team's Mittlestadt back when trade Byram. 1 Quote

Kev has no plan to build a competitve roster aside from gathering shiny nickels. When your're offered Byram for Mittlestadt, you take that deal every day of the week... it's a no-brainer. 4 1 1 Quote

The premise is fine, it’s been the post trade execution that has been the issue. Honestly, they should have played him with Dahlin all season and traded him for a coveted asset. Instead they sunk his value giving teams clear visibility to his ineptitude away from a great partner. 1 Quote

You recently said you would ignore me but I am seeing more negative emoji's the past few days. When you do this it comes off as antagonistic and next will be the insults. If you disagree with my comments try instead to make a viable and compelling counterpoint. If you do not have anything substantial to offer then go back to ignoring me. I agreed to ignore you and you offered that you would too. YOU broke the agreement, you hypocrite. Save your thumbs down and heed your own rhetoric. Quote

The value was that he was not on an expiring contract whereas Mittelstadt was up for a pay raise... I.e. he saved Terry a few $mill for the all important yacht, while placating the fan base into thinking that the trade might make sense in a few years time. Another in a long list of shrewd moves by Adams that's kept him in a job despite 5 years with no playoffs. Quote

I’m very discouraged at the thought of all of Adam’s moves may have ulterior motives regarding finances. Many have intimated that hockey ops has no cash flow and they operate like destitute hobos, now I’m starting to wonder myself. The kicker would be hearing Staal was brought in with no salary. I’ll just stop paying attention all together. 1 Quote

You broke the agreement this Monday, May 5th at 12:47 and at 12:51 with you two eyerolls in the Friedman Thread, which is now shut down. I "thumbs downed" you after that for insulting another poster, something you do all the time. Two other posters also had an adverse reaction to your response. Check the tickets .... Can you admit your are wrong? Edited 12 hours ago by Pimlach 1 Quote

He wants to play a big role, and he wants to lead a PP. I want a guy like that. The problem the Sabres have right now is the money tied up on defense already due to the foolish contracts given to Muel and Power. This was talked about after the trade was made. We traded our best two way center at the time (Mitts) for a rental. One year after the trade it is clear we got the better player, but in typical Sabres fashion they can't or won't fit him in. It is an issue because you can only have so many egos like that on a roster, just like you point out. Not all players have an ego and an ego isn’t mandatory to be an elite competitor. But it often goes hand in hand Mittelstadt is a bust. He was cast off from a good team after failing to slot into the role. He championed the Bruins tank. Imagine if he was still here, scary. mjd1001 Posted 9 hours ago Report Posted 9 hours ago If everyone is so sure Byram is better than Power (he might be), then the league should know that and they should get a better return, especially considering he's not locked into a big deal like power. 1 Quote
