It doesn’t look that bad to me, meaning no wind up or follow through motions, but he definitely put his elbow in a bad place and skated through to make contact. Quote

It was the stick that hit stolarz. Almost like a mini cross check. He knew exactly what he was doing and of course he didn’t want to injur him, but, hey, if it happens it happens. i still think that if TO looks like they are going out next game, if someone doesn’t end Bennet’s playoffs, then they don’t deserve to win, ever. 1 Quote

I remember hearing that, just prior to that hit, Reinhart had wired a wrister off Stolarz's (sp?) mask. It may be that he was concussed, was trying to play through it, and then the Bennett contact sent him over the edge. Quote
PerreaultForever Posted 5 hours ago Report Posted 5 hours ago So if Edmonton does go all the way this year and wins it, Jeff Skinner will in fact continue the legacy of leaving the Sabres and winning the cup even though (barring injuries) he will have only played in one playoff game in his entire career and I believe only for a few minutes. Wouldn't that be something. 1 Quote

No room in Buffalo for a guy who has 62 points in 68 playoff games Quote

How much are you going to pay him? Where does he fit? How many actual GWG or GTG does he have in the playoffs. He is a near PPG playoff scorer and yet I never hear the guys name in the playoffs and his team loses, many times in the first round. Last night was a critical home game for him and he was -2 with no points. So yeah, 62 points is great, but is he leading his team to victory? Doesn't seem like it to me. On top of all this he will not play for the Sabres. Quote
rickshaw Posted 1 hour ago Report Posted 1 hour ago People shat over the Sabres and rightfully so, but since 2006 the Sabres have 4 playoff round wins. Assuming Toronto lose to Florida, it will be 4 playoff round wins for Buffalo, to two playoff round wins for the Leafs since 2006. Incredible. We’ve missed 14 years in a row and the Leafs have been in every year since 2017. Wow. 2 1 Quote

That isn’t to say Marner isn’t a great player during the regular season and wouldnt be an upgrade on most players. But his contract demands would require us to gut our roster yet again just to fit him inside the cap. 1 Quote
