What normal team pays VO $4.7M because they have to get to the cap floor and yet wont go out and get veteran help to fill obvious needs? Another blatant example of the Adams not doing the smart thing. Overpay mediocre players to get to your self-inflicted internal cap rather than improve the team with the same money. We needed a goalie and help on defense and still do. "No Blockers" strikes again. Analyzing the past two seasons can get sickening, just about every decision Adams made was unconventional and wrong. Seen Victor play all season here in Vegas, he’s been in and out of the lineup and would probably not have played these 2 games if Pavel Dorofeyev wasn’t injured. I thought he had a really good game yesterday filling in on that powerplay unit because of his one timer. Not sure if they resign him when the season is over because he’s a decent player who played a solid two way game but the offensive numbers just aren’t there. 1 Quote

I felt this same way when Patrick Kane was in his prime. It’s the playoffs these players need to be hit and hit often, it ain’t ***** pickup hockey. Hit these star players every chance you get like McAvory did to McDavid during the 4 Nations. Honestly - ya. It’s the fact they are so comfortable in the idea they won’t be they leave their mouth guards hanging out for style purposes. I don’t mean occasionally- they chew on them as accessories because they aren’t needed They literally will not wear them, not being hyperbolic. You don’t do that unless you know you won’t get hit. Some of it is their natural evasiveness, but there’s a level of comfortability there too Edited 14 hours ago by Thorny Quote

HumanSlinky39 Posted 12 hours ago Report Posted 12 hours ago (edited) Playoff McDavid & Draisaitl are a sight to behold. They just perform on another level. Even Bouchard to a slightly lesser extent. Edited 12 hours ago by HumanSlinky39 Quote

VO has skill as a scorer, but he's far too inconsistent. How many times did we see it here- he'll go on a heater for a few games then disappear for weeks at a time. Quote

He has improved his two way play but he’s definitely not deserving off a contract of more then a couple of million 21 minutes ago, HumanSlinky39 said: Playoff McDavid & Draisaitl are a sight to behold. He was one of the few who floundered under Don. I do think he started to play better defense under Don. No matter what though he was not going to sign back here for 1 million after making 4.7. He got a real nice contract here because we had to get to the cap floor. For whatever reason he never seemed like he was very reliable. even in Vegas he seems to go in and out of the lineup for unknown reasons. It's not an unknown reason. He's not defensively sound and Cassidy only plays guys he relies on. VO is a depth player who fills in for the injured. Quote

Doohickie Posted 3 hours ago Report Posted 3 hours ago That was the most inevitable goal I've ever seen. There was no way TO was going to clear the zone for the rest of the game. Quote

The Stars and Jets is pretty solid. Also an interesting storyline in itself of Hellebuck and his growing confidence it looks like from getting through the first round, and if he can regain that regular season confidence as the playoffs continue. Also, the Jets and the Stars are both more healthy now which makes for a lot more fun. The Oilers and the Golden Knights has been an awesome series so far both games. Super exciting and flashing a lot of talent. A really good matchup that I was interested to see if it would result in some exciting hockey and it definitely has. Edited 2 hours ago by K012010 1 Quote
