Eli Cash Posted yesterday at 01:00 PM Report Posted yesterday at 01:00 PM (edited) This game against the Patriots is absolutely huge. Big opportunity to create separation from every team in the division. The Drake Maye love in Boston seems very premature. Would be nice if the Bills d steps up and drops a soul crushing on the New England spirit. Edited yesterday at 01:11 PM by Eli Cash Quote

If that’s accurate yikes! And then Lamar to boot during the game? I haven’t looked at any Ravens forums yet but that fan base has to be in melt down mode. 1 Quote

He will develop and its only a matter of time before the O-line is upgraded and they get him a couple weapons. And boy does it pain me to type that. Quote

carpandean Posted 15 hours ago Report Posted 15 hours ago No matter how much you may dislike Tyreek Hill, it won't make you feel better about watching his leg injury against the Jets. Ouch town, population you, bro. Quote
shrader Posted 14 hours ago Report Posted 14 hours ago So what kind of QB will the Jets be corrupting with their very early pick coming up in the draft? Quote

Arch Manning, of course. I still believe Justin Fields could be a decent QB. He needs the same development track Josh Allen had. Quote

But he came back to MVP Josh and got the job done Eh. Getting intercepted deep on third down is kind of like a punt. 1 Quote

For those who never used one, someone would run a (usually) DOS program on a PC with a modem and you could dial into it from your computer. DMs and Message boards, not unlike here. One person at a time, with time-limits. Later, these were networked (by dialing each other periodically and exchanging new messages) so you all didn't have to show up serially on one system. One of the largest networks of these was IceNet, which was founded by a guy named Jim Nunn in Buffalo. For awhile, I was a SysOp on Chain Reaction BBS, which I think was an IceNet node. Thanks for the prompt to unlock some old memories. I don't specifically remember talking Bills back then, but I can't believe there weren't some boards focused on sports. That too, just not as many people outside universities had access to it at the time. FreeNet run out of UB I think had usenet, but it's been a long time, lol. I love these old "Internet" articles: https://www.buffalo.edu/ubreporter/archive/vol26/vol26n2/1a.txt (Thanks for indulging my ramblings, lol. My first "social media" exposure was detroit.freenet.org in the mid 1990s. Because it was still a local forum, we had meet ups once in a while. Quote
inkman Posted 2 hours ago Report Posted 2 hours ago It’s usually the NHL that completely botches logistical things like this but the Bills are going to “bring the storm” on October 5th? Rain maybe but we are still a ways off from snow. Why would this be scheduled for late November / December. Feels like they missed the target with this one. Quote

I don’t think they ever intended the theme of this game to coincide literally with the weather. it’s a nationally televised game where they will celebrate the team’s legacy with winter weather games. i’m sure they hope to sell a sh1t ton of those “icy” whiteout jerseys — with SNF helping them hit/exceed their targeted #s as they approach the winter months. But why not do it on the picturesque landscape of falling snow in mid December. If they show a bunch of snow filled highlights to coincide with the event I’m going to be even more perplexed. Quote

I’ve been trying to recalibrate on the fly to better understand things. You touched on the exact thing that gets me there. Money. Follow the money. This is all the league cares about, my brain just fails to recognize that in isolated circumstances. 1 Quote

(Boy, especially given that it's gonna be another 80 degree beauty on Sunday.) Seems safe to infer that the ad wizards are just trying to print cabbage. 1 Quote

It also ties into some hunger charity--which one, I don't know, because I was too late. That may (or may not) have something to do with the timing. Also, they wanted white end zones for this but can't paint over the blue turf for reasons. Next year, however, they will be able to paint over the natural grass.
