Rasmus_ Posted Saturday at 02:36 AM Report Posted Saturday at 02:36 AM I was a fan of what I viewed of Horcoff, a little high for him, but again, it's all based on what you're looking for. Raw talent but I think he will be really good. Didn't think we'd get a chance at him though. Originally (when they had a late first) I thought Philly would take him because they love size. 1 Quote

He could have gone anywhere from where he was drafted to around 41-42, or so. He probably wasn't making it to the next pick, but you never know. 1 Quote
PerreaultForever Posted Saturday at 04:00 AM Report Posted Saturday at 04:00 AM Pittsburgh's the team that I found odd in this draft. Maybe they are smarter but their picks seem out of place. Quote

Zonnon and Horcoff give them some size and Zonnon has a ton of skill but needs better skating. Horcoff is big and solid. Outside of Kindel going a bit high, it's pretty solid drafting. 1 Quote
LGR4GM Posted Saturday at 07:34 AM Author Report Posted Saturday at 07:34 AM Forwards of interest: Shane Vansaghi, big and mean Jack Murtagh, all around solid Nathan Behm, skill with some warts Mathew Gard, big bulldog There's others but that was just a quick scan. Quote
Thorny Posted Saturday at 07:35 AM Report Posted Saturday at 07:35 AM Who can pass the puck I know we don’t draft for that but one can dream There was benson that one time Quote

SabreFinn Posted Saturday at 08:07 AM Report Posted Saturday at 08:07 AM Milton Gästrin is the only one of players mentioned above that I have seen play, and that not that much, but I think he would be a good second round pick. I am curious to see where goalie Petteri Rimpinen lands. He was The best goaltender I have seen play for Finland in WJC since Saros, better than Luukkonen and Annunen. He is small but should be drafted in the third round. 2 Quote

Only forward of interest should be: Robertson!! #39, 2026 #1, Östlund, McCarthy, rosen for Robertson. Trading for him would literally be franchise changing - he’s that good Quote

SABRES 0311 Posted Saturday at 06:12 PM Report Posted Saturday at 06:12 PM So what is the strategy? We have a lot of mediocre defensemen and really only one new guy who should/could/maybe make a difference in Kesselring. Byrum is probably getting traded and should get us something to replace the hole JJ left on offense. Do you package him? Still need a partner for Dahlin, not hope one exists on the current roster. Still don’t have a 1C. Norris is not it. Don’t try to make fetch happen KA. Muel is still here. I don’t care what KA does as long as it results in getting rid of him. I have accepted the fact Power and his physical weakness will remain. So, whatever. Sorry for the length. Just getting concerned after 14 years of mismanagement. Quote

With the current roster Samuelsson has to reason to have to be played. You’ll be disappointed about the 1C situation, but Byram for a top6 forward or a UFA splash may change things Quote

I hope a Byram trade gets us a real good 1LW. Quote
