I'm just pointing out how you asked a question, the answer of which was the entire subject of the post you were quoting

I guess my I interpreted the post as a scenario in the future, not this off-season.  If so, I stand corrected.

Guys I don’t want to hear being drafted until 39

1. Musty 6’2 F

2. Dvorak 6’5 LHD

3. Gibson  6’3 RHD

4. Stramel 6’3 C

5. Bonk 6’2 RHD

6. Ritchie 6’2 C

7. Stevan 6’1 RHD

8. Mackinnon 6’2 RHD

Nice solid list too!  I'd like to say, Chicago is entering my least favorite liked territory in the range of Toronto and Boston.  Hah.

…and how does this make them a better team in 23-24?

Your question is curious. Were you ever 17-18? Did you grow and develop as a (man?) between then and 23? OK, so not you (and that's OK!), but in general, boyz to men is not just a boy band. Boys drafted for skills sets and projected growth (body and skills development) into men so that they can develop into the NHL..... NOTE: a baseball batting average is a good result for GMs. If they get 4 of 10, that is AWESOME. Where's my mic?           Oh here it is......🎤 (whoops dropped it).

Kind of like a quiet 700-800 game career?  That's what I think.

I hate to put a ceiling on his games played...  but I like his jam. I just think a solid 2C who is going to get overpaid to be more than that after he has a great playoff showing. I think he's a guy like Ryan Kesler if he hits his ceiling.

Forever bust Radek Bonk, one of a number of Sens busts (Daigle, Yashin), has seen his son drafted.

But one hell of an awesome hockey name.

I see him as a Jochen Hecht, which is not at all bad for a mid-1st pick.

So for the analytic boys Liger et al who are the best D avail still for 2nd round?

Hanifin, Pesce, Graves...

I know.  They absolutely need to stock the pipeline with D (and a G).
