The problem is this year’s flu shot isn’t as good as against the strain of influenza that is prevalent this year. Couple that with having 23-30 people in close proximity in locker rooms and weight rooms where droplets easily spread, and unfortunately people can be contagious before exhibiting full blown symptoms I think the conventional wisdom here is that it can't be the flu-flu because that you can't recover from it in 24-48 hours, as most of these guys seemingly do.
