Housley HAS to take some of the blame whether it's his system, leadership skills, or game management. I'm sure he has. It's a tough pill to swallow but I'm sure he recognizes now that coaching an NHL team is harder than he thought. Painful, ouch, they're making the Sabres look horrible. 11 wins this season, and the Stars announcer asks "What do they do for an encore." I wouldn't want to be in that locker room right now. Particularly as a first time coach having what it takes to save a sinking ship. He had a lot of defensive help with the Preds and probably that made him look good. Wonder what Davis Payne thinks of the job that Phil's doing.? He was a head coach before. Maybe Davis is rolling his eyes behind the scenes. Nolan, Wilson, Larsson, Rodrigues, Girgensons, Pouliot, Pominville, McCabe, Falk, Gorges, Nelson, Lehner, Johnson. All guys I wouldn’t mind being shown the door. It’s a talent issue. We need so much more. Botterill needs to get to work and start making some moves leading up to the deadline since so much turnover is needed. Good list. The only one I'm indifferent about is McCabe. But, I think our other d-men are so bad he probably seems better than he really is. The players on this team just don't stack up against pretty much any other NHL roster.
