Are there any Taking Back Sunday fans out there?

They're coming to Riverworks on July 27th and I can't wait!!

It really depends on the night with them imo. You'll see some mic swinging one way or the other, but they (read: Adam) don’t always sound that good.

Im sure there’s some other TBS fans on here. Someone used to have a The Story So Far icon, I’d bet they’re one, too.

I will see Stiff Little Fingers in Boston tomorrow. Martin Barre of Jethro Tull next weekend, Jon Anderson of Yes in June, The Hives in September, and I'm seeing BEAT King Crimson with Adrian Belew, Tony Levin, Steve Vai and Danny Carey in October.

Did not know that existed. Crimson without Fripp just seems wrong but enjoy.

Going to see The National with The War On Drugs in October. Saw Chelsea Wolfe just a little while ago.

Excellent. I saw the last King Crimson tour with Fripp, the big 8 piece group with three drummers. I'm not sure what to expect with this BEAT edition of KC but I'm a fan of both Belew and Levin.

Khruangbin at the AKG

Orville Peck at Artpark

Regina Spektor in Albany (The Egg) -- first concert for my 7-year old daughter)

King Gizzard in Queens NYC

Spoon at Electric City

Maybe Talking Dead Heads and Dirty Work at Larkin

Fabulous line up. 👍 I saw Orville Peck in a tiny club when he was a total unknown. He's great.

Getting to see Jon Anderson will be a dream, fulfilled ❤️

I've seen Yes, without Anderson, and that singer blew out his voice during "seen all good people..."

Now, I get to experience THE voice of Yes!!!

Frigging psyched for this!

Seeing Neil Young & Crazy Horse outside Boston in a few weeks.

They are playing the Hollywood Bowl in September.  I had the chance to buy presale to the public but held out and may buy on secondary market if it makes sense.  LMK your thoughts on the show.

We've got tickets to see Suzy Bogguss two weeks from Saturday.  She's a country artist that had some good songs/hits out in the 90s; we have one of her CDs.  Pretty relaxed country, lots of steel guitar.  One thing that made me decided to get tickets is that she's playing a small venue, fewer than 200 seats, so it should be a good chance to see the musicians up close.

This was one her bigger hits, a remake of an old Judy Collins song:

Suzy Bogguss was outstanding tonight.  Every song was great.  It was just her on vocals and rhythm acoustic guitar, and a stand-up bass player and lead guitar who both provided backup vocals.  The sound was great.  This pic is from the last row (the venue only has about 200 seats).

Saw Jon at the Riviera Theater in North Tonawanda last year and will see him this tour as well. You won't be disappointed.

If you have an opportunity to see Gary Clark Jr play, go.

Saw him this evening at Artpark’s indoor venue. His past is very blues-centric, but his more recent work is leaning R&B.  He still infuses every song with fantastic bluesy guitar work.  His guitar work is top notch and he’s an excellent vocalist.  And the backing band was super solid.  The band was tight.

He’s pretty much a stand in front of the microphone and play/sing performer.  He’s not the most energetic guy on stage, but definitely puts a ton of energy into the music.  A few songs in his guitar died.  He said into the microphone “I think I broke it”, put it down, grabbed the mike out of the stand and said “I guess I am a lead singer now” and moved on with the song and the set without skipping a beat.  And he worked the stage and crowd like any good frontman would.  He could readily transition into a singer/frontman and be excellent doing it.

The technicians fixed his problem after a couple of songs and he moved right back into guitar/lyrics behind the mike and completed a terrific show.  Dude impressed me with his professionalism and polish.

He just covered an old Cream song (Crossroads) with Slash and it’s exceptional.

Next concert up for me is this coming Saturday. It's a bucket list item; the Grand Ol Opry in Nashville.

They announce the acts as you get closer to the date. So far, 5 of the 8 or 9 we'll see have been announced. One of the announced acts is Loretta Lynn's granddaughter who was just on American Idol (I didn't see it) and another is golden oldie Crytal Gayle who is Loretta's sister, so I would guess they do a song or two together.

If anyone has any Opry stories or insights I'd be happy to hear them.

My wife and I just got tix to see Ringo Starr and his All Starr Band coming to the Fallsview Casino at the end of July.  Excited to see one of the last remaining Beatles!

Saw the All Starr Band in Canandaigua two years ago with my youngest daughter. It's such a fun show. Ringo is 83! I remember seeing him at 81 and thinking it would be great to be that capable and healthy as he was then, when I reach that age. He had one minor 'senior moment' but made light of it and just kept on going. His band was so great. Edgar Winter is amazingly talented.
