3) everyone does. see the little bar now? (I'll take it off in a minute)

4) u ######!

I would also like to complain about people who complain about the complaint thread still being open (the word has lost all meaning), especially when it's only 1 AM. Nice east coast bias. I think it should be open until at least 4am to give our Alaskan friends a chance to contribute (sorry Hawaii, you just don't count).

I think they should use rubber bullets and fire hoses on them daily. The rubber bullets to let them know if they were pulling this ###### in China, Russia, Somalia or 160 other countries in the world the bullets would be real, and the fire hoses to wash the stink off these dirty patchouli smelling hippies with nothing better to do with daddy's money now that phish isn't touring.

My complaint is the smell of feces and piss when I walk by a city park. :P

My real b!tch today is that we've been interviewing nearly every day for an open position for 3 weeks now. I have lost all enthusiasm for interviewing. I am more convinced than ever that the downsizing that occurred across all industries was nothing more than a needed weeding out of dead weight. Every, and I mean every, interviewee that isn't working right now looks terrible in their interviews. Ditch diggers shouldn't be in the engineering fields. I anin't got time for this shyte.

If the police really wanted to put and end to these ridiculous displays they would run drug dogs through the parks a couple times a day. There wouldn't be anyone left in a week.

If the police really wanted to put and end to these ridiculous displays they would put drug dogs at the doors of the NYSE to sniff the pockets of the traders. There wouldn't be anyone left in a week and there wouldn't be anything to protest.

Once again the European football powers that be had the fix in for the Bosnians against Portugal. First the France penalty and now this on Tuesday evening. ... just when it looked like the Bosnians may just pull off a miracle ... a double yellow / red card foul against one of their best players!! What a joke!!

They just could not stand to have a small country in such a major tournament as opposed to a "football power" like Portugal ... with all their major stars ... led by the primadonna Christiano Ronaldo.

Shameful!!

Here's a great complaint.

Meetings where there aren't enough chairs, and the only wall space available to lean against is the space where the lights to the room, the overhead projector, and the screen switches are located. "Okay ... no problem. I can do this ... just don't lean back too hard or you'll turn off the projector. THAT would suck." This was not just an ordinary staff meeting. This was a group of higher-ups and team managers discussing a gap study (quit it with the perv jokes cuz i know precisely what y'all are thinking ... cuz I thought the same thing >) ) to determine whether or not a particular government facility has the knowledge base and man power to do what our company does before we turn over our program to them. So yah--lots of big wigs and ties.

The first half hour was fine. No problems. Then I had to shuffle my notebook and my coke bottle around, and sure enough, I hit the projector switch. Screen goes dark, everyone looks around, then they look back at where the switch should be, but eclipsing that is my round ass. Everyone started staring at me, and I turned bright red, started getting really hot under the collar, and sweated profusely. Everyone cracked jokes, and tried to make light about adding a maintenance code to our time sheets (that's how closely time management is monitored here ...). So I flipped the switch back on, and we all waied for the projector to come back on. A few minutes later, it restarted, and the meeting resumed.

A buddy of mine realized that his zipper was partially down, and he stepped out of the meeting to "adjust." As is always the case when you see someone perform a zipper check, that triggered an automatic response on my part to check mine. Sure enough, mine was all the way down, and gaping wide open. "Right. Cuz this meeting couldn't get any more embarrassing ..." So I stepped out and "adjusted" as well.

Awesome.

This week has been my first all out physical activity in about 3 months thanks to the knee injury. I'm stubborn enough that I have to try to pick up exactly where I left off. My first hockey game on Tuesday was the disaster I expected it to be (but I did score on a nice deflection of a point shot). Thanks to everything over the last 3 days, I'm sore as hell right now. I'm going to go with that "wrong side of 30" cliche because my recovery time is now timed with a sundial.

I dont mind the OCCUPY movement but I can not stand those complaining about the Police and what they term "brutality" I think it is shameful that a few innocent people have been pepper sprayed but COME ON for the most part they have done an amazing job keeping the peace. While everyone in the movement wants to say that this is a PEACEFUL PROTEST there are still those among them that have bad tempers and when one person is like that in a group such as this violence can escalate very quickly and the police have done an amazing job of keeping the occupiers as well as the public safe.

What is really disturbing is that the Tea Party protests were mocked and ridiculed for all the wrong reasons. Yet, if there were any arrests/crimes committed, they were few and far between. OTOH, a lot of the OWS protesters have been getting arrested left and right (no pun intended). Women have been raped by their fellow protesters, quasi-anarchy has been taking place at some of these protests, and all sorts of unlawfulness. Even if I am counted amongst the 99% when it comes to wages and net worth, I am not buying their rhetoric - nor their hypocrisy (especially when it comes to people like Michael Moore).

As for other complaints, I am struggling to keep the mindset that when there was a changing of the guard when DR and Lindy first came on board, it took them a couple of years to get to the Stanley Cup Finals. Thus, with all of the chatter about how the team is or is not performing to par, it gets really hard to keep that focus that, with T-Pegs owning the team now, that it may be a few season before we're back to being a serious contender.

Also, I don't think that what I'm about to say is worth starting another thread. Nonetheless, this complaint is the fact that I have been slow to listen to what the Lord has been showing me through His Word - especially with regard to the fact that my wife and I still don't have children (as I have mentioned here before). Both of us have made the mistake of making the assumption that maybe we're doing something wrong or that we would hope that if we did certain things, then maybe God would bless us with a child. Then, as I was pondering Scripture while driving and all of the accounts of childless couples, it finally hit me that God was being glorified throughout all of these accounts, and that He is also getting the glory for us not having children. It really brought me to tears because I was so foolish for not understanding this earlier. I don't expect anyone here to understand what I'm talking about. I just wanted to get this out in the open, given what I've said about the issue in the past.

I understand. And I think it is the correct perspective. Keep on keepin' on.

XChecking, have you ever considered adoption?

If I have any regret in life, it is that I didn't seriously consider adoption when we were young enough that it made sense. We have one healthy, vibrant teenage child. We wanted more. Without going into details, it never happened. We both wish we'd have opened our minds to the idea of adoption back then. Crosschecking, consider adoption. Adopting a child doesn't mean you have to stop hoping for children from your own lineage.

XChecking, have you ever considered adoption?

here here. or ... hear hear. whichever. i completely agree. my wife and i were in the same boat. still are, actually. we adopted our two girls in 2008 through foster care. it was the best choice we ever made. i know foster care isn't for everyone, and neither is adoption, but if you're open to the idea, i would highly recommend looking into it.

and trust me ... i do indeed feel your pain. we've spent countless hours on our knees praying for something to happen, then went all out and tried everything we could within our means, and nothing ever happened. fertility specialists never managed to prevail. us trying to read her cycles and everything never worked. it's frustrating and impossibly painful on an emotional, psychological and yes--spiritual level. i can understand. really.
