Now raise your hand if you’re one of those fans that give coaches and entire season before you pass judgment on what kind of coach he is. In other words, take a long time to form an opinion on coaching skill. Finally, raise your hand if you’re one of those fans that will give a coach until half way thru the season before you have your mind made up (and nothing will change it) as to what kind of coach he is.

Well, of course everyone has their opinions on what THEY would like to see. I guess I would start out with adding 5 big TV’s in the concourse. Each playing a different decade of Sabres highlights. 70-79, 80-89, 90-99, 2000-09, 2010 to present. I would like to see more former and current Sabres participate in interactions and/or autographs. I would like to see raffles. Put your name in to win a [insert various merch]. Even if you pay $1 per entry. All proceeds go to children’s hospital or hospice or some quality org. In a few of the surrounding restaurants, if you come in with Sabres gear, you get 10% off your bill. While the fan fest was going on. Q and A with a few alumni with Duff or Dunleavy as moderator. Fans come up and ask questions. those are just a few....

Went to The Terrace tonight for dinner. It was very nice sitting outside having dinner watching chumps who never rowed a boat a day in their lives try to row around Hoyt Lake. Very entertaining. ?

Went to Sabres Fan Fest. Toured the lockeroom and areas around there. Talked to Brad May. Saw John Scott, Rick Vaive, Don Edwards, Bill Hajt. Put my eyeballs on the new 3rd Jersey. I change my rating of 6 out of 10 to a 7 out of 10. I think the Sabres missed out on making the fan experience better. It was ok but there is so much room to make it better. I give it a C+

It’s all about preference. Me personally, my favorite “Americanized Mexican fast food grub” is Mighty Taco and Moes. Salsaritas is good too. I hate Chipotle and Qdoba. I never get Taco Bell so I can’t speak to that stuff. All that stuff is a far far cry from quality authentic Mexican meals.

I think that’s why most trade proposals include several players in a package deal. Not just Risto.

Meh. I personally give it a 6 out of 10. It could have been much worse, and much better. No logo on the shoulders is unfortunate.

That’s kinda why I proposed (Even if it’s an overpayment). Tkachuk for Risto, Olofsson, 2021 and 2022 1st. If one was optimistic, one could think those 1sts won’t be top 15 anyway. they get a prime aged top 4 D who has bite to his game and can get you 40 pts a year, a slow cooked younger winger who has great potential in the right system, and two nice pieces for building towards the future.

Any fan that think all players who are drafted are expected to carve out a NHL career are sadly misinformed, not to mention have massively unrealistic expectations that never come to fruition. As you know, the chance of making it to the NHL are not great for anyone outside the first round. As you know the chance of actually having a good career (over 400 games) is even less. As you know the chance of having a pretty long career (over 700 games) in the NHL is a rare and special thing. A 3rd round draftee player who didn’t carve out a career in the NHL is quite common actually. As you know. If calling every player a bust who didn’t make the NHL a career makes you feel better, so be it. Seeing as the percentage of draftees who actually do it so low, labeling a “bust” is not accurate at all however.

It worked for Kessel, Brodeur, and many many other pro athletes thru the years ? in all seriousness, Mitts will be fine. No need to assume he doesn’t take being a pro athlete seriously. Any hand wringing concern is very premature at this point.

The roster won’t be what anyone thinks it will be here in August. That’s why I stay away from this exercise ?‍♂️ Summer line combos galore!
