  1. Indeed! I have to imagine this is the first time a team has rostered two former 2000 yard rushers in the same season. Of course they cut one to make room for another. But that’ll end up a bit of interesting trivia someday, maybe.
  2. My wife and I are ready to get our first dog. I’ve always had a dog growing up, but we’ve been renting since college and never got one of our own. We’re looking at area shelters and have even filled out an application for one in foster care. Man am I ready to share the house with a four legged friend again! My qualifications: must be housebroken so as to not pee on my brand new carpet Her qualifications: must be cute and fluffy
  3. Since I posted that, Ovi scored two more goals. That’s back to back hat tricks. Last game, all three came in the 3rd period. This game, all three came in the 1st. Yep, that’s 6 goals in 12 minutes of ice time.
  4. Ovi just scored an impressive goal https://twitter.com/myregularface/status/916805415261925376
  5. I’m not sure Lehner had any idea Tavares was even there. Based on his positioning and the way he completely flailed, he seemed 100% committed to Eberle. Ugly 2on1 goaltending there.
  6. I went to the CBJ-Islanders game today. The islanders looked VERY flat. Weren’t fast, weren’t crisp with their passes, weren’t keeping forwards in front of them, weren’t winning 50/50 pucks along the wall. It was honestly a pretty easy shutout for Bob. Don’t know what the shot count wound up, but he didn’t work too hard even if it was respectable. I think he got third star for a shutout, if that’s any indication. I will say- NY played very physical. But against a skilled team like Cbus, they got smoked. The Panarin-Wennberg-Atkinson line skated circles around defensemen. They were buzzing all night. I hope it was a tiring and disheartening loss for them, not a wake up call!
  7. I don’t care if he was skating against children utilizing those gliding walkers... that puck handling was beautiful
  8. Hey Flagg, it looks like you can definitely watch live right on your laptop. If you go to NHL.tv and click the "watch/listen" tab, it will take you to all of today's games. Of course there are none today, but I can go back and rewatch old games. For the sake of your schoolwork, pretend that feature doesn't exist :P
  9. I am 99% sure I’ve done this before at my brother-in-laws house. There’s a slight chance I’m misremembering and I streamed those games through reddit. But yeah, I think so. Your NHL.tv account should be linked to your NHL.com login
  10. There’s still a very nice student discount. Also a 10% discount if you pay with a Discover card (and you can combine this with the student discount). I think I paid $90 for the entire season. I’ve run it on my laptop before, just through their website. It was alright. 98% of my streaming is done through my Xbox and I generally have a great experience with that. I’ll occasionally watch through the app on my phone while in bed. That is a surprisingly good picture.
  11. I am sitting in the waiting room while my car is being serviced. This isn't just any old car lot, but one that specializes in exotic foreign cars. No, I don't drive an exotic (that would be awesome). By a quick look around, there are at least 15 cars here that cost more than the house I just bought :P I LOVE my car, but it's probably just nice enough to not get giggled at when I roll up.
  12. Did she move from fairly near by? One of my cats actually found her way back to our old house multiple times after we moved. It was a good couple miles, but she went back and was hanging outside the old house.
  13. Can't do Monday night next week, but all other nights work. Tuesday or Wednesday wide open, Thursday I could sneak home in time for a 7:00pm start. Any time after 7:00 is cool too
  14. Yeah, some former Bills played huge roles in tonight's game. Robey-Coleman: 1 int, 1 fumble rec, 2 passes defended Sammy Watkins: 6 rec, 106 yds, 2 TD Robert Woods: 6 rec, 108 yds Marquise Goodwin: 2 rec, 62 yds, 0 broken bones Oh well, it was a fun game in real life and for fantasy football purposes!

  16. These situations are always awkward, and it's significantly more awkward when juxtaposed to the comfort you normally feel in your own home! Back a few years ago, I had a major bathroom repair at my apartment. The maintenance guy was really nice, but he spent hours and hours in our place on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. My beloved recliner had a direct line of site to the bathroom. And it was a small place, so I really had nowhere to escape unless I lived in the kitchen. So if I sat and watched tv or did schoolwork, I also had to creepily watch him destroy and rebuild my shower.... And really, the reason for repair is worth sharing. One day I was just minding my business and taking a nice shower when I leaned on the wall... SMASH, my ass went straight through the tile and the wall crumbled down atop me. The drywall behind the tile was all rotted out from years of moisture.
  17. That was my reaction! Article is updated to say that he wants to return Oct 7th, but no certainty that team doctors would clear that. If he already has a date in mind though, that's great news. Oct 7 is pretty soon too
  18. Brian Boyle diagnosed with Leukemia. Blood work during team physicals caught it. Seems like a very optimistic outlook, but don't know anything about timeline for a return. http://www.espn.com/nhl/story/_/id/20759203/new-jersey-devils-forward-brian-boyle-diagnosed-leukemia
  19. Have you ever tailgated at the Ralph? ;)
  20. My dad LOVES to order nachos pretty much anywhere we go. And he orders them to share. However, he is very territorial with his nachos. He'll actually use a fork and load up some chips in his quadrant, so he'll end up with a bunch of awesomely staged chips. If you cross lines and steal one of his prepared nachos, his reaction is quite entertaining.
  21. You're still a kid until you win consecutive playoff series ;)
  22. If I was Jack, I'd be wearing a bike helmet until I sign my $80MM contract... But that is awesome. Big smile on my face when I saw it in my instagram feed.
