That was a nifty save Linus made by putting his shoulder into Panarin’s shot. He had that corner picked. I don’t think Lehner makes that save. He banks on his size, gets his arm to the post, but is hopeless in that short side corner. Especially with a sniper like Bread Man shooting.

I don’t think we can trust anything out of Jax while they’re still alive.. they wouldn’t announce plans to move on while Bortles still has a playoff game to start haha. But I haven’t followed the Eli situation recently to know what NY will do.

I have a feeling Eli will find his way to Jacksonville, reunited with Coughlin. But I would love to draft an understudy and see what Eli has left in the tank for 2 years.

The Watch ESPN app is unbearable. I am fully aware that I have little room to complain- I’m signed in under a family member’s cable account, using the app on my Xbox. ESPN wants me to pay for cable, sure, so they have minimal incentive to master this platform. But the product quality is pathetic. I’d be embarrassed to have my name on this app. I just want to watch some football!

Just finished What Happened to Monday. I really enjoyed it. A neat concept, some decent action scenes, and a few unexpected twists. Pretty good for a Netflix original. We actually missed the 2018 ball drop/count down because we were captivated by an action scene. I looked at my phone and it was 12:01. Oops!

Jack’s hat trick goal has to be in there too! He took the puck off the face off, evaded three Canes defenders, and then patiently waited out Ward before roofing it to complete the hatty. Damn I wish we had won that game :(

Today is the one year anniversary of breaking my leg.. It serves as a unique benchmark to reflect on the changes in my life. At the time, I was incredibly bummed and was very pessimistic about the future. The injury sucked, the surgery sucked, being immobile sucked, the rehab sucked... seemingly nothing would ever be better again :P Funny how short term setbacks can cloud our perspective. Since this day last year: -I got married and honeymooned in Hawaii -We bought a condo in one of the nicest suburbs in Columbus (a far cry from our former townhome in a dicey neighborhood downtown) -I (somewhat inadvertently) set up a lovely couple by introducing my best friend from college to my brother in law. She has moved down here to be with him (and us!) -We rescued a sweetheart of a dog that loves lazy TV nights as much as we do -Just this week I submitted my resignation from my current job, which was long overdue. It has really been dragging me down and keeping me away from family priorities. I have accepted a new position that I should really enjoy at a company that seems incredible. Oh, and my leg feels great!

He definitely took the playmaker role. Made a lot of nifty passes. Some of them to no one in particular, but he has a knack of getting the puck to high danger areas. Him and the line mates weren’t on the same page though. Not much connected. He’s their Jack Eichel on the power play. That’s the position he played, and he also did a couple things that reminded me of Jack (including a sweet deke to get around a defender, followed by a wrist shot that missed the net lol)

So I sat pretty close to Casey tonight :)

I had tickets to this one. I’m going to a work function with my wife’s lab instead...... But they play again tomorrow night. And I have tickets to that one too! Figured I’d split the difference and drag her to the game tomorrow. Great seats too, on the glass next to the zamboni tunnel. Should be fun to see Casey
