  1. The Browns are the team that shows on local tv here. Imagine growing up as a Bills fan, then moving somewhere and somehow seeing inferior football :P
  2. NY plates are exactly the same color as the DWI plates here in OH. Sometimes I see "party plates" and think it is someone from NY. But that's because I'm from NY and I'm used to seeing those hideous things. Conversely, people from OH see bright yellow NY plates and assume you're a drunk before realizing you're actually just a NYer :P I found this out because my new boss was getting out of his car as I pulled in on my first day (still with NY plates). I guess I gave him quite a scare until I got close enough for him to see. Lol- Josie beat me to it by 30 seconds
  3. The Bachelorette is over. [sarcasm] what ever will I do with all my free time now? [/sarcasm]
  4. Enjoyed the Yankees-Tribe game today from the bleachers at Progressive. Judge's home run was incredible. Only 3.6 seconds of flight time. Severino had his plus stuff today, and the pen looked great. There are some good food options at Progressive too. I love that ballpark.
  5. Not cool to post that so late at night.. I will have nightmares about sentence structure* tonight. *structure is a very generous word in this case. Hell, for that matter, "sentence" is also a very generous word!
  6. I kid, of course. This play is the closest Falk comes to being worthy of this selection
  7. If there's another guy by the same name, I think you just get him.. Justin Falk it is! Would have sworn Scandella would go before him :P
  8. When I lived in Rochester, I only went to the mobile DMVs. When they rotated around the suburbs, I never waited more than 10 minutes for anything. I don't have any idea if they do those in Buffalo/other parts of WNY
  9. He wore the C, and Neal wore an A.. wonder who will take over. Does Subban get a letter? Does RyJo's big deal necessitate one? Josi is their only remaining captain from last year.
  10. I'm planning on making the drive to Buffalo once or twice this season to catch games at KBC. I'll pencil this in as a strong possibility. I won't reserve a ticket with TW, I'll just go secondary when the time is much much closer. But if it's a weekend I find myself in the 716, I'd enjoy consuming wings and beer with you fine folks.
  11. Terrible paper.... grade of 47.... there's something going on subconsciously here #bogo
  12. Wow, I totally missed Taro's pick. Sorry for the hold up, guys! I'll go with a guy that just got a new deal, which I think is something he can actually live up to... Zibanejad
  13. Marner did 11 pull ups. But he does have weak little hands. Seriously though, I like this team comparison. And I like our order of young guns better, because they'll be getting their money after Jack already has his. Is it conceivable that Matthews, W Nylander, and Marner could all want extensions next off season? I'm glad we'll pay Jack, then know our money situation when we extend others. Just dreaming here. It depends on when each extension happens. But imagine if Casey gets a cup of coffee this year, full rookie season next year, then a breakout year on Jack's wing where he puts up massive numbers on an ELC. That stuff right there is how teams win cups.
  14. Thanks for all the recommendations, Josie! I don't think I've seen any of those besides a couple of the 30 for 30s.. I've got some catching up to do! And thanks for the anti-recommendation, WC :P I've never been into scary movies or books. I am reading another King novel now, though: Under the Dome. It is extremely long, so we'll see if I have the attention span to get through it.
  15. Imagine you're a kid that has now grown but swears you can still squeeze into that vintage #29 Pominville Slug that you refused to throw away. (FTR I hope McCabe keeps 29 and Pommers takes something random)
  16. That sounds right up my alley. And my wife would like it too. We'll check it out!
  17. Lately I've been trying to get more into documentaries and books. I feel like I've been in a bit of a rut where I waste too much time watching SportsCenter/sporting events I don't care about, surfing social media, etc. I'm attempting to spend more of my time absorbing information while still entertaining myself, rather than mindlessly passing the time with trivial things. So, any recommendations for documentaries? Any books that you'd consider a must-read? I'm most interested in natural things, and tend to stick to non-fiction. But this is the internet, so who am I to be picky? Fire away!
  18. A thank you letter from Kyle Okposo for support from teammates, coaches, and fans during his ordeal. Explains that it was a reaction to sleeping medicine to combat concussion symptoms. https://www.nhl.com/sabres/news/kyle-okposo-thank-you-letter/c-290487168
