The interval distance needed for your body to learn the race pace is 800 meters (1/2 mile). Complete 4 to 6 intervals. Depends on the shape you're in. To get the 7:00 minute mile pace you want in a race you need to hit each 800 meter interval in 3:30. Take a 2 minute rest between each. Something I strongly recommend. Don't stop running between each interval. Do a VERY SLOW jog between each. This actually makes the workout easier. Helps keep the lactic acid from building and muscles tightening up.

Are you trying to set a new pr (personal record)? I have a few training tips that can help achieve that.

Planning on running another 5k? If so, you use the hard day/easy day training. For example you could do 8 400's (quarter mile) w/ a 2 minute break between each. This is a hard day workout. To "recover" from the hard day, put in a long, easy paced run. Just enough to get your heart rate to 120 or so for the entire run. Easy days are just as important as hard days. Benefits from these workouts aren't really noticeable for about 2 weeks. Can't see instant results. Also, be sure to mix things up. Don't always use quarter mile intervals. Running (long distance races) is a great sport.

Arizona's GM has already said OEL will not be on the trading block. Apparently they don't want Matthews enough. And why should they? OEL is young, has room for improvement and is already amongst the elite. Sure, Arizona's GM could have said OEL is not tradable to drive up the stock. Unless a lot is offered for the guy OEL should remain a Coyote.

Maybe what bothers me most is the ending felt like the ones in The Desolation of Smaug and Halo 2. Right in the thick of things and boom! Credits start rolling. Just don't care for endings like that.

Or stick w/ the books and kill off a character not in them (Deryl)? I understand Glenn is the one killed off, but they are trying to keep the tv show different from the comics. Let me add Deryl is the character I do not want to go. Poor decision to end a season w/ a cliffhanger this big.

I enjoyed it. More of a setup for Justice League. Before Batman v Superman was announced, I was in hopes they would make another stand alone Superman movie. Really enjoyed Man of Steel.

From what I heard Neeson signed for Episode 1 w/out even reading the script. Just wanted to be a part of Star Wars and felt it'd deliver much like the original trilogy.

I have no link to any source of The Walking Dead. Daryl is going to be fine. For obvious reasons he has a lot of hate/want to take out Dwight. Daryl will achieve his goal. Glenn is the character I expect to go down. The guy has dodged too many bullets. A long term character needs to be killed off. Prefer to see it in some type of heroic manner. Maybe giving his or her life to save others? Glenn would do that.

Well said. :thumbsup: Average goalie size is larger today than those in the past. In my opinion, a combination of smaller equipment and an increase in size of goals would lead to higher scoring. That is something to consider.

Moulson is known to be a devoted husband/father. He'll always put his family first and that's the way it should be. Moulson may want to increase Eichel's chances at winning, but that will not change things. Family will always be his top priority. I have a lot of respect for Moulson and have high hopes he returns to a high level of play next season. That right there would increase Eichel's chances at winning.

Not to rub it in, but today is a "fantastic friday!" Have tomorrow, Saturday, Sunday and Monday off for Easter. Looking forward to spending time w/ family at such an important, special time.

Question is can former Bruins GM Peter Chiarell correct that? He did build a team that made the playoffs 8 straight seasons and brought home a Stanley Cup. The Oilers fixed a major problem in their organization by improving management. What's the cap situation in Edmonton? Do they have a self imposed salary cap? Do any of you think it may be difficult to bring players into Edmonton w/out having to pay extra? Chiarell did make a few mistakes in Boston, which eventually led to the teams decline. Don't know all of the factors involved, but Tyler Seguin was a major loss for the Bruins. Didn't Chiarell trade him? It'll be interesting to see what he does to turn Edmonton into a contender. Not including McDavid, Chiarell said any player could be sent packing by trade or not re-signing.

That is correct. What bothers me is the PS4 hasn't been out long, and to bring out a "new" system so fast would have Microsoft very happy. I'm sure many PS4 owners would jump ship. This isn't something Sony has done before. The life spans of their previous systems have been rather long. Each owner got their money's worth. Rather surprised w/ what Sony may be doing.

Sony is currently planning a new version of the PS4 with increased graphical power and games running at 4K resolution, developer sources tell Kotaku. We don’t know whether current PS4 owners will be able to upgrade or if they’ll have to buy an entirely new device to benefit from this power boost, but from what we hear, Sony has started briefing developers. Based on conversations with developers who have spoken with Sony, this ‘PS4.5’ will include an upgraded GPU both to support high-end 4K resolution for games and add more processing power that can enhance the games supported by PlayStation VR, the headset Sony will launch this fall. It’s unclear if ‘PS4.5’ is an official name or just a nickname that developers have been using. One developer jokingly called it the ‘PS4K’ while telling me about the device. In layman’s terms, 4K resolution is around twice the pixel size of 1080p, which is the current standard for games on PlayStation 4 and competing consoles. The current PS4 can output 4K photos and videos, but cannot support 4K resolutions for games. With this upgrade, it would. Besides resolution, developers would have an opportunity to push more effects and other graphical tweaks to make their games look better, thanks to the new GPU. This would make me mad.
