Must admit I didn't know the Ducks cupboard had too many defensemen. If I were a Ducks fan I'd want Girgensons over Ennis. Mainly due to the concussion. But you also gotta wonder if Ennis could survive in the west.

A few teams, Montreal is one, are going for Fowler. Anaheim may get an offer that is greater than Fowler's value. Really do not want Murray to trade #8 for Fowler.

Fixed. I agree w/ ya on that. But who knows. Montreal may go the other way. Forward at 4 and defender at 9.

If this is true one of Murray's d-man he may be wanting will be taken by Montreal. Edmonton was probably going defense anyway, so it may not matter. What's nice is Subban will no longer be in division w/ the Sabres.

Sabers need a defenseman that can put up the ice time Risto can. Very tough to do. But Buffalo and Risto need it.

Yeah, I gotta second that. There have been plenty of times in Buffalo sports history where things looked like we were finally going to get whatever done and it didn't. I think the older you get, I'm 35, you really start going the believe it when I see it route. When I got into Bills football, it was great times. Dominating the AFC. 4 straight super bowls. Had an idea the bad seasons in my early years and before wouldn't happen again. At least not going to the playoffs for x amount of seasons. It's now been 16 years since the forward pass. No playoffs since. Same for the Sabres. Relatively good. Bad season here and there. Loved watching Lafontaine! Making the Stanley Cup Finals to face Dallas in 99. Had a few decent seasons after that. Returned to great hockey in 2005. And shortly after the Sabres themselves fell into playoff struggle and eventually the rebuild. Bright days are here. It's only going to get better. This past season we all saw that. But as I said, the Vesey signing will be a believe it when I see it. Felt the same way w/ the McEichel race. Man, at the end of December of the 14-15 season it began to look like the Sabres were going to lose the race for McEichel. Hope it all works out. The possible additions of Vesey and Stamkos is mind blowing.

Guys on WGR were talking about him and few other defensemen this morning. Talked of how Murray can be aggressive. It'd take a lot to get San Jose to trade him. Just relaying the info.

Called it a bit of a stretch.... Hearing conflicting reports/opinions. Just gotta wait and see. Damn I hate the suspense. Brent Burns may be interesting. He is a defenseman able to play forward. Not that Buffalo needs him to do that, but an in game switch from defenseman to forward could be beneficial. And I still do not want the Sabres to pay 12 mill for Stamkos.

You are correct. When your best players only have to give 80% effort to have success in the MLS how can one expect improvement or to have a greater sense of what it takes to compete w/ the best in the world. MLS should be for young players trying to gain a little experience, players in need of a job and players nearing the end of their careers. Players w/ hopes to play for our country should be attempting to make it in the top leagues in Europe. Until then performances like these will continue to be the norm.
