 Right on. A few years ago NFL analysts were talking about what does it take for a QB to be considered as one of the greats. Most in that particular discussion agreed it depended on the number of Super Bowl wins. I wanted to puke when they spoke of Roethlisberger being better than a few hall of famers like Marino or Kelly. And it all came down to the 2 Super Bowls Roethlisberger won.

If the Broncos do pull off a Super Bowl win, people will only look at 1 number. And that'd be Peyton having 2 Super Bowl Rings. His blah performance the past 2 seasons won't be talked about often. Manning needs to end his career regardless of what goes down. Chances of him making another Super Bowl are next to none.

Was so pulling for pick six! Palmer :censored:

Forgot the X-Files mini-series debut is tonight. Anyone else excited? I know I am. Was addicted to the show when I was a kid.

Episode 8's release has been delayed. It will now debut on December 15th, 2017. It was originally scheduled to come out in May of 2017. Rumor is out the script had a few changes made due to breakout performances and returning heroes in Episode 7. Supposedly a few yet to be introduced characters will now have smaller roles. Gotta add I watched Episode 7 for the 3rd time today. Enjoyed it just as much as my 1st 2 viewings. -
Was hoping Lehner would be starting tonight. Didn't get to watch him play the other night. :( Oh well, go Sabres!

Trust me, I wish things would've worked out. I'm still looking forward to ID4, but must admit I feel many who experienced Independence Day when it came out may have a sense of something is missing when watching ID4. Younger audiences won't have that. ID4 may be a type of reboot. Still looking forward to seeing it.

Supposedly he wanted a great deal of money for ID4 and/or he was hesitant on doing another sci-fi flick after the bust After Earth. Emmerich at one point mentioned Smith is now too popular to be in ID4. When Independence Day was made, Smith hadn't quite made it to the big time yet. He was largely known as the Fresh Prince of Bel Air. Not much to put on his resume'. Emmerich has spoke of this. Honestly could be an excuse though. Emmerich did have two scripts written. One including Smith and one w/out Smith. In my opinion the ball was practically in Smith's court. So yes, I believe he refused the part due to money, not a great amount of interests in sequels and wanting to stay out of sci-fi movies for a period of time. And yes, I know he's been in Men in Black 1, 2 and 3, but for some reason or another he felt they'd boost his popularity to the level it once was. If you take a close look at it, the Men in Black movies did just that.

If you have kids and enjoy taking them to the movies, I advise you to pass on Norm of the North. One of the worst family films I've ever seen. Story did not flow well and there was practically no humor. Theatre was full of kids and the place was rather quiet. Usually doesn't take much for kids to laugh.

Can't stand NFL rules for OT. :censored:

I second that. Elway was a stud. He was a winner. To say Elway couldn't have done that is ridiculous.

Unbelievable stuff!!! You only get to witness plays in that type of situation x amount of times in your life. Divisional playoff game?! Simply incredible.
-
New to this powerball stuff. What does it normally start out at? 1 million? Odds are next to none in winning, but there's always that chance. Kind of like Jim Carey in Dumb and Dumber.

Big Ten can't hang w/ the SEC. Huge difference in athleticism. Only one school in the Big Ten can make it in the SEC and that's Ohio State. Last nights game was much like men against boys.
-
Went to an SEC School. Have/want to pull for them.
-
So Clemson is in. Glad to see that. Now it's time for roll tide!
-
Clemson has dominated the 2nd quarter. Up 13-7. Have over 200 yards total offense. Most of it is on the ground. No prob w/ that.
-
And Clemson uses a little trickery and is now beating Oklahoma 10-7!!!
-
Pretty excited about today's playoff games. Hoping Clemson beats Oklahoma. This is practical uncharted territory for them. As for Bama and Michigan State, I gotta go roll tide. Sorry guys, I went to and ran track for an SEC school. Gives me more reason to pull for Bama. Any of you excited? Pulling for a certain team? I'll admit over the years I've grown to like college football much more than the NFL. Still love the Bills, but their games are the only ones I'll watch.
-
Canada under performing? I only saw their game against the US.

I'll never forget it. Sitting on the couch and holding my drink tight. Parise buries it and I jumped up and the drink flew out of my hand. At that moment I wasn't even concerned about cleaning it up. After Crosby.... crap not even going to say it. We all know what went down. I immediately turned the tv and tended to mess I made. Still, it's one of my favorite hockey moments. A late game tying goal w/ Miller pulled in the Gold medal? Simply priceless.
