Only player I'd swap for is Hall. Even if that went down, I feel Edmonton is getting the better end of the deal. Risto is Buffalo's true number one defenseman. Plus, the Sabres defense is rather weak. Why make it worse?

I don't know. I enjoyed Germany pounding Brazil 7-1 in the 2014 World Cup. What made it better was the location. The World Cup was in Brazil. Argentina is by far the better team. Team USA will be missing 3 starters in the matchup. But there's always a chance. Anyone remember the US upsetting number 1 in the world Spain 2-0 in the 2009 Confederations Cup semi-final? Granted, things are different today. The US was ranked number 9 in 2009. Right now Argentina is number 1 and the US sits at a disappointing number 31. But hey, the game has to be played. You just never know....

What Pegula has already done is good indicator it will happen. But there's no guarantee. We are Buffalo fans. Getting is certainly not norm for the Sabres and Bills. You should know this.

I'd take Vessey over Okposo. The soon to be former Islander is wanting an expensive, long term deal. Plus, you gotta factor in the potential Vessey has. It's not like Okposo is amongst elite. He's a top 2 line player. Had a productive season w/ 64 points, but not worth the time and money. Especially when Eichel, Reinhart, etc.... need to be re-signed. Yandle is the d-man I'm hoping Murray can bring to Buffalo.

Inkman made a good point. Name an elite free agent(s) the Sabres have been able to sign. Think of time before the tank. Man, go all the way back to 1970. Buffalo has had to pay more for a player than the big market teams. Until the Sabres land a free agent at Stamkos level, I'll be in complete agreement w/ Inkman. The Sabres don't get good things.

Initially I disagreed w/ that. But after thinking about late season line pairings, you gotta wonder. Larson has earned his spot as a 3rd line center. Foligno, Larson and Gionta were very effective. So that leave two places for Girgensons. 2nd line wing or 4th line center. Bailey will be coming into to play this season, Ennis will hopefully return to form and you gotta factor in the possibility of Murray bringing in a top 6 forward. It'll be interesting to see who is where when the puck is dropped in October.

Heat! Heat! Heat! I hate it. Makes a run difficult, and at times dangerous. Usually run 5 or 6 miles no prob. Yesterday, stupidly ran mid-day w/ the heat index at 104. Struggled to do 4 and felt like I was going to pass out. When I finished my shirt was soaked in sweat. Looked as if I fell in a pool. It's the time of year, depending where you live, where you either run before 7 a.m. or after 7 p.m.

If the US pulls through it's still an accomplishment to make the semi-finals. And hey, Argentina isn't in the semi's yet. Kind of a technicality, but still. And to the semi's we go!!!

The US hasn't made the semi-finals since 95'. Have a long way to go, but if they win tonight I'm going to be very happy. Definitely worth staying up for.

Have heard many good things about DOOM. Not going to pick it up yet. Have a few games I need to finish. It is on my to buy list.
