  1. As for the ESPN discussion, I thought it was complete and total BS. That wasn't a TD. How many times have you seen the ball be bouncing around in the end zone on a kickoff and the guy just walks off the field and they call it. The guy calls it, picks up his gear, tosses the ball to the ref, WTF did the ref think, he should be banned from further games in the playoffs, what a bozo. They lost the game because 1st half Allen didn't show up and he also was horrible in the 2nd half, his weekly fumble, what the heck was he thinking on the lateral, poor decisions, etc..... I see a lot of Texans games, they also play some stupid football but like the Bills they're a physical football team and I think that's why Singletary wasn't used a bit more, as good as I think he'll be he did have almost 20 plays called for him and that's about tops for him. They needed more from Gore also
  2. That's also points in 3 straight games. Improving???
  3. Dzisiaj w Betlejem The Polish version and there's not a close 2nd to that.
  4. The last 2-3 years I would have said Matthews, this year Jack's lightbulb just went off or he just decided he's sick of losing and he's taken this team on his back and he is playing at a different level than before. Right now his all around game and scoring acumen to boot puts Jack as the man in this poll. In fact there's most likely not many on one hand you'd give the vote to over him right now.
  5. Don't you dare lump me in with your doubting Thomases fan club. I won't have it sir.
  6. A win this afternoon also gets us to the proverbial peak performance meter better known as the delucian 500.
  7. vs Your Buffalo Sabres visit the Islanders of NY this afternoon in a matchup that should further show the development of this team. The Islanders have become a very structured and strong defensive team under Coach Trotz but the Sabres are on a bit of a roll themselves with 3 straight victories over playoff teams and at the moment they are the hottest team in their division with a 5-2-3 record in their last 10 games and presently sit in 2nd place. The Sabres have 4 players in double figure goals so far this season and with the return of Dahlin, hopefully the Power Play will improve. With the bandwagon starting to fill up again and with the possibility of a Bogosian trade, the bunker may finally also be on the extermination list. With a point this afternoon Jack Eichel will join Ric Martin and Tim Connolly for 4th on the all time Sabres consecutive game point streak at 16. With the past few games and the coach past few interviews concerning running the team the fan base seems to hot for this teacher. Courtesy of: https://sabresdigitalpressbox.com TODAY’S GAME SABRES at ISLANDERS This is the second of three meetings between the Sabres and Islanders this season. Last meeting: New York defeated Buffalo 1-0 in Buffalo on Nov. 2 Next meeting: Thursday, March 26 in New York The Sabres are 3-6-1 in their last 10 games vs. the Islanders; 4-5-1 on the road. This is the 173rd game all-time between Buffalo and New York; Buffalo has an 82-66-24 series record. The Sabres are 36-37-12 on the road against the Islanders all-time. THIS DATE IN SABRES HISTORY The Sabres are 12-7-4 all-time on December 14. December 14, 1982: Tony McKegney scores twice and adds an assist to lead the Sabres to a 5-3 win over the New York Islanders at Nassau Coliseum. December 14, 2005: Martin Biron stopped 32 shots in a 4-3 win against the Dallas Stars, winning his 11th consecutive start. Biron would post wins in each of his next two starts, bringing his streak to 13 straight starts. THINGS YOU SHOULD KNOW A win today would give the Sabres wins in a season-best four straight games. After scoring a pair of goals in both of Buffalo’s last two games, JackEichel entered play Friday with the second-most goals in the league this season (22). Victor Olofsson has recorded 19 points (7+12) in his last 18 games, including two-point performances in four of the team’s last six games. He has failed to record a point in just three of those 18 games and entered play Friday leading all NHL rookies in goals (13) and points (29) this season. Jimmy Vesey is currently on a three-game point streak (1+2). Buffalo’s penalty kill is 12-for-13 (92.3%) in the team’s last eight games against the Islanders. LETS GO BUFFALO
  8. Risto on the #1 power play hopefully. Is there a more inaccurate PP QB than him?? The puck just naturally finds the skates of whoever is receiving his passes.
  9. I'm going to nominate me as player of the year. Lost my #1 receiver after the first week and my #1 RB only played in 1/2 the games and I'm still in the playoffs after selecting 11th out of 12 teams. Poor SDS, you are what your record says you are....... North Cal, I'm coming after you next buddy. Good luck to all the good teams that made the playoffs. Wild Card looks like the beast of the year, annihilating everyone in his path.
  10. Truly appreciate the ideas and I am on twitter but Ben Mathewson can't be messaged. I wouldn't know how to contact Eric Schmitz. So I'm back to square one again.
  11. Ticketmaster is it, I've been on the computer and phone for hours trying to find a way to get this done. The cheapest tickets I could find are around 175 bucks apiece before the markup unless you want to sit in the highest row in the arena and that's only if you live in their TV market. I checked Stubhub but at 175 bucks the markup with them is $50. I would prefer if I drive a thousand miles to go to a hockey game that I don't sit in the highest row in the arena but paying approximately $230 apiece for 6 tickets is pretty outrageous if you ask me plus going thru the Predators ticketmaster site, you have to buy a 6 game package with them to get tickets to the game even if you're in the market. Trust me there isn't any $6 tickets available either.
  12. Doesn't Stubhub charge you $50+ per ticket to buy there though??
  13. I agree with you, if I'm not mistaken there were 122 20 goal scorers in the NHL last season which averages for less than 4 per team. So if someone scores 20 on the 4th line, he's either on the wrong line to begin with or that is one phenomenal team.
  14. They get you off your billing zip code on your CCard and your area code on the phone you direct it to.
  15. DeLuca is our made up BS. They have 31 points in 28 games, that's over .500 in my book. Which if followed out is on a 91 point season, which probably doesn't get them in the playoffs although right this minute it does. And that my friend is an above .500 season. Plus flip that coin a different way, they didn't lose 18 out of 28 games in regulation, which in my Sabres recent history is outstanding.
  16. It's kind of funny reading some of this in that I'm presently in a city without hockey. I pay for my NHL-TV subscription and if I want to see a game live, the closest port is to drive up to Dallas once a year. Which is pretty easy to get advanced tickets for the games. As an example of just the total opposite of Buffalo season ticket holders who sell their seats to Leaf fans, or allow out of towners to purchase seats. Nashville will not sell any tickets via ticketmaster to anyone who doesn't have it imprinted on their birth certificates that they are Predator fans. You must live in the Predator TV area to be able to buy tickets. I'm wanting to go to the Sabres game next month on the 18th, and I'm presently having to use Stubhub to buy tickets which will be 2 here, 2 there and 2 in another place instead of being able to buy 6 in the same general area because my billing zip code isn't in Tennessee or Georgia. I've been researching for hours trying to get around this restriction put on by the Predators mainly to keep out Blackhawk fans and other out-of-towners. If anyone lives in the general area there and you have a better idea, let me know because I'm trying to get my grandkids to a game with me and they're making it near impossible to do so.
  17. Those are the same lines they've had for a couple of games now, did you miss the Leafs b2b?? They actually looked pretty good, Mitts looks much better since he's been on the wing also since Marcus got back.
  18. Don Cherry might think this way but I would think if the Sabres are praying at all, it's for the well being of Kyle and for no future after effects. I kind of find the title a bit on the obnoxious side and I would hope you change it to something more reasonable. You wouldn't be the first poster to bring up the advantages of losing his cap hit but please put it a different way.
  19. Wife wanted to see Downton Abbey the movie, if you really liked the tv series, see it, if not.... don't bother. Started watching the Watchmen on HBO, this has a real chance of getting an A to A+. Also just watched Deadwood the movie. This could have been better if it came out right after the show ended, having said that I'd give it a B-. I'd explain why I didn't give it a higher score but then I'd give away too much.
  20. I'm guessing @New Scotland (NS) will but I will say he's at least gotten the conversation away from the logo's. I also always thought @ had to be followed by something dot org com net or some other such term
  21. Now this is nothing short of dastardly

  23. What the meaning of VS? VS means "Versus, against" So now you know, What does VS mean? VS is an acronym, abbreviation or slang word that is explained above where the VS definition is given.
  24. VS. Your Buffalo Sabres coming back from a disappointing trip through the land of the meatball, play the Carolina Hurricanes in what is turning out to be a big game to get both teams back into the playoff picture. The teams presently rank 9th and 10th in the Eastern Conference but a win puts the victor back into the top 8. Carolina has also struggled lately losing 4 of their last 5 games but did crush Ottawa 8-2 in the other day. With their recent play the Sabres bandwagon is emptying out quickly and I may need to pass out my cell phone number to get members back on when this downturn ends and everyone wants to know where it's at. When will this heartache end you heartbreaker* Courtesy of: https://sabresdigitalpressbox.com TONIGHT’S GAME HURRICANES at SABRES This is the first of three meetings between the Sabres and Hurricanes this season. Last meeting: Carolina defeated Buffalo 4-2 in Raleigh on March 16 Next meeting: Sunday, March 15 in Buffalo The Sabres are 1-6-3 in their last 10 games vs. the Hurricanes; 4-4-2 at home. This is the 205th game all-time between Buffalo and Carolina; Buffalo has a 102-75-27 series record. The Sabres are 58-33-10 at home against the Hurricanes all-time. THIS DATE IN SABRES HISTORY The Sabres are 7-3-7 all-time on November 14. November 14, 2009: Tyler Ennis scores in his NHL debut and the Sabres top the Flyers 3-2 in Philadelphia. THINGS YOU SHOULD KNOW Sam Reinhart has eight points (5+3) in his last eight games and enters tonight with multi-point efforts in each of his last two outings (3+1). He has recorded three straight multi-point games just once in his career: Dec. 15 to 18, 2018 (0+7). Reinhart recorded at least a point in all three meetings with Carolina last season (0+4). CENTURY MARK Rasmus Dahlin is expected to appear in his 100th NHL game tonight. Dahlin, who leads all Sabres defensemen with 12 points and is tied for the team lead with 11 assists this season, enters the game with 56 career points (10+46) through his first 99 NHL games. Among defensemen throughout franchise history to debut with the Sabres, only Phil Housley (30+64) matched or surpassed Dahlin’s minimum of 56 points through the first 100 regular-season games of his career. With many SabreSpacers viewing the team's recent play as a catastrophe, we give you The 50th Anniversary of the IMO the Worst things to happen in Sabreland The storm of 77'. Storm hit morning of January 29th. Travel restrictions enforced, Sabres played next 5 games on the road. Ted Darling broadcast the game from his home with his son assisting him and Ricky J. was stuck in a bar somewhere in St. Catherines and was unable to do the games. The Sabres returned home to face the Boston Bruins on Feb. 10th, Jerry Korab with 2 goals and Gil P. With 3 assists helped lead the team to a 4-3 victory. The now famous video of the 1975 playoff game where Jim Lorentz kills a bat BUFFALO, N.Y. (CBSNewYork/AP) — The NHL has postponed the Sabres’ home game against the New York Rangers on Friday night due to a severe lake-effect storm hitting the Buffalo region. The league made the announcement Thursday and said a makeup date has not yet been determined. The Aud was part of history when Wayne Gretzky broke Phil Esposito's record scoring a natural hat trick against the Sabres on February 24, 1982. Gretzky’s first goal was number 77, quickly followed by numbers 78 and 79. The Edmonton Oilers won the game, 6-3. Perreault, the Sabres’ captain, scored a hat trick himself that night. The final game at the Aud was April 14, 1996 against the Hartford Whalers, a game in which the Sabres won, 4-1. Everyone in attendance or even watching on television felt goosebumps as Pat LaFontaine put the ceremonial final puck in the net and the lights going out to close the Aud. The old Aud then still annoyed at being replaced, jinxed the new arena and caused the scoreboard to fall in November 1996 and had the game against the Boston Bruins postponed that day. LETS GO BUFFALO Courtesy of Alabama Shakes:
