ERod also just was setup with on open look and totally missed the net. Same thing happened the other day on a breakaway and he missed the net by 10 feet. I'm not sure what you ERod fans are seeing but dang, at least hit the net.

His shot does appear to be elite. Let's see how he does when the league sees what he's good at and what he's weak at. We need goal scorers so I'm hoping he earns his first line status. He and Cozens are the new guys in town so they're both HOF worthy while all our other young pups suck and need to be sent to Ra Cha Cha. Lets hope he earns his stripes.

I can't help but think that they're waiting on next year to make a bang in free agency including a GK with so many guys coming off the books. I think JBotts gets this year and next before they think about making a move.

Agreed, Johansson and Samson needs a finisher, Olofsson goes there. Rodrigues may be fighting for a spot somewhere and Cozens isn't beating out Mitts this year (keyword this).

Skinner--Jack--does it matter who wins this spot besides likes/dislikes right this minute, who wins today may lose tomorrow Does a VO--MJohansson--Samson 2nd line sound better than anything else we could put together?? Vesey--Mitts--Tage/Sheary/ERod/Okposo I don't dislike the Girgs--Larry 4th line but are they and Okposo in real trouble of making the team??

My takes: Samson was the best forward on the ice, is the guy we wanted from the start finally here Johansson just possibly won the 2C job Eichel taking defensive faceoffs and being physical on the boards This Risto may just grow on me Olofsson's one timer is elite Vesey is going to be better than most people on this site think, not great better GK is the weakest part of this team and may be its undoing Do we finally have a decent defense, Miller's shot is pretty darn good Team speed has improved immensely from this time last year Does Okposo get cut and Lazar take his place as RW4 Lots to work on but that 3rd period was fun to watch

Like it or not it's the most realistic plan and will keep me sane waiting on it.

First step is to get the young guys toughened up and NHL ready 2nd step would be to add a real piece, winger or C and make a playoff run 3rd step would be to then contend.

With the ROR trade our 2C isn't going to be able to compete with any of these top 2-3 centers in this conference. Whether you like it or not, being patient and hoping one of the young guns develops into a serviceable 2C is our only chance right now. The thought that ERod is going to compete with these guys is ludicrous. Risto isn't going to bring in someone on the above level. Waiting on Mitts or Cozens to develop into this is our only move at the moment that makes long term sense. I used your post as a reference @Randall Flagg, I'm not necessarily posting this at you. Whether anyone wants to hear it or not, we are in step 2 phase of rebuilding this roster from the TANK, and we have 3 more steps to take before we're a contender again.
