I think they need to try Sam at centre to see what he can do at this level. Put Jim in at 3C and still use him on the # 1 PP unit because he is a top six forward. Three lines that provide offense is tough to defend, worked for the Pens last year.

I like Ennis but he hasn't been effective. In his defense, he hasn't had many top six minutes, but the PP opportunities have not yielded anything to remember. I would keep him over Moulson because of his speed, hustle and nifty stick handling but like Matty he cannot win a puck battle. The business side of our team would be helped by losing Moulson or Ennis. This can free up some dollars to make trade for a top 4 D. GMTM may package a couple of these guys to LV for an upgrade on D if he can't pry a similar swap with the original team.

Keep in mind the power part of his game. Mess with Sam or Jack and you get to dance with Evander. He doesn't need to drop the gloves often because he is a respected fighter. That element of his game is worth something. I'm in the camp of don't trade him unless the deal knocks your socks off. If he doesn't want to be part of the core or his financial expectations are extreme then move him after this season.

There was a period of Alamo mode near the end, with Gorges driving Sens puck possession. They then got aggressive again and killed some time in Sens end. Solid game by Lenny.

Been a fan since the fog series. Some good times but lots of heartbreaks over the years. My loyalty has been tested, but my deeply rooted love rules. It has also been fun to be "unique", the only Sabres fan anyone knows. I've lived in Leafs land (Ontario) my entire life, although primarily in French communities so the Habs influence was large. I don't see myself ever changing teams. I have enjoyed cheering for the Avalanche and Blackhawks during their runs due to liking Sakic and Toews. Like many here, the Tank was tough but hopefully worth it. Go Sabres.

There's a lot of time before the deadline to sort out where we stand. If out of the race, we should move assets that won't re-sign or are aging. The return can be prospects instead of draft picks. Some of them maybe NHL ready, like a Theodore.
