I doubt McCabe can play, no lefties in the system except Guhle. That emergency recall provision can be used again? I'd like to see this kid fly on Hockey Night in Canada.

I don't think it will happen yet, but axing DDB would be the biggest thing to rev up the players. GMTM will give him more time now that a healthy lineup is around. My guess for a replacement is Luke Richardson. Grew up in Ottawa, played for the Sens, coached their farm team and is now looking for work. He and GMTM would be pretty tight. He also just coached Team Canada in the Splengler Cup.

Let's beat these guys and shut up their fans and media for at least a day. Matthews and Marner's Hall of Fame plaques are engraved and just waiting for the Stanley Cup parade to be unveiled. Let's rain on that parade!

I believe Bailey is still up with the Sabres, he may have to go down when Ennis activates. D-Lo will stay for the year, unless traded but his days are numbered.

Sam and Zemgus did look comfortable at centre, Sam always looking to dish. Gus doesn't have the angry Larry feel, but was effective and got the ball rolling.

Nylander with 2 more points, 11 in 5 to lead the tournament. Asplund has 7 in 5 for a top ten spot. I love watching this tournament but I'm saddened about pinning hope on prospects, has a tank feel to things. The Sabres are hurting and making it difficult to think we can make the playoffs.

I'm excited to watch Sweden in the World Juniors to see what we have in Nylander and Asplund. Success there is not always indicative of NHL success, but, the confidence gained can be huge. I haven't seen Nylander play other than highlight clips. A full year in the AHL and work in the gym will get him closer. He'll be a bubble guy at camp next year.

Putting a winning streak together is critical. It's tough to make up ground with " loser" points like the Leafs got last night. With the lineup healthier and a nice comeback last night they can build up some momentum and put some W's on the board. Good leadership will keep them focused on one game at a time and not on the numbers we think they need. Go Sabres!

With Dvorak and Marner graduating, he's getting the minutes and responding. I remember hearing that he scored 8 post season goals, so he finished strong and has taken the next step.

Bailey hasn't shown much and we'll see what Carrier looks like at this level. It's tough to get a true view of these prospects with 4th line minutes but a good shift earns them another and they can build some momentum for themselves and the team. Baptiste and Carrier will have friends and family at the game, hope they perform.

Went to watch Pu tonight in North Bay. I'm impressed, excellent skater and puck handler. 1st line, PK and PP. Takes key face offs too. That's a good 3rd round pick.

Curious to watch Baptiste. Watched him a lot in junior and he was fast with a good shot. He won't get premium ice time tonight but he could have a few solid shifts. I do like Fasching's work so far, big body down low. I can see why L.A. drafted him. If he gets a bit more aggressive on thee forecheck there will be some nervous d-men when he is on the ice.

GMTM may have a plan to dump Moulson on Vegas. Play him on the PP, hope he scores 30.

Go Sabres! One game at a time. We can beat these guys and we'll be one game closer to a full lineup. It'll be tougher to put up wins, but giving some opportunities to our bubble players will be interesting.

Agreed, the only way we have a problem is if Lehner gets hurt and Ullmark shines for an extended period of time.
