As I stated in a follow up post, I think he will eclipse Salming. A HHOF career is a great achievement for Borje, he was a great Dman on some lousy teams for a long time. He was a good stickhandler, very elusive with the puck and more physical than he got credit for. Anyway, Orr is the pinnacle and a Potvin, Lidstrom and Bourque like career is possible for Rasmus.

I realize that. I just think Rasmus' style resembles Salming's more than Robinson, Leetch or even Bourque. I think he will be better than Salming, and hope that is the low end of his spectrum.

Have you been to the Bobby Orr "Hall of Fame" in Parry Sound? Some neat stuff there. He's in the conversation with Wayne and Gordie as the GOAT. Injury shortened career keeps him 3rd in many eyes. I would be satisfied if Dahlin is like Potvin, Lidstrom or even Salming.

Skill wise and in stature, I see the similarities. If he can add a death stare and a nasty edge to his game, he'll be scary.....great.

I'm surrounded by their fans, many of them are delusional and have no concept of the cap. They think they will get Pietrangelo, Doughty and every other Ontario guy now that they have a team. Their cap situation will not improve in the next year. I hope Arizona offers Matthews 16 million per season if the cap is north of $80 mil. I try to watch as much of the Winninpeg stuff as I can because they are good and the Canadian media gives them minimal air time.

Maybe RJ scans these pages for ideas.

He is on a development curve that excites me. 18 years old! He is going to be better defensively and physically than Chabot in the near future. Playing keep away for half a shift and his elite passing will tilt the Sabres possession numbers like an anvil on an empty teeter-totter.

If Berglund is gone, Wilson's return can take up some slack. Smith, Olofsson or Nylander can be rotated in to find an offensive spark in the middle 6. I hope Asplund can take Sobotka's spot next year.

Wow, lots of good information. I like how JBot wants to keep the draft picks, they provide a pipeline of quality players. I agree that they should not get any rental players this season. He also may get more for a pick, should he choose to trade one by playing hard to get.

The Adams Division rivalries continue to this day.
