  1. Love what he’s saying, but our power play isn’t something I would hold as my first example as “second nature.”
  2. If they are both so hung go about him being in the NHL, then why isn’t up here splitting time with Anderson instead of Toker?
  3. Or if a poster had said s/he saw the future and Tage would become a legit 1C? That person would’ve been banned.
  4. I’m fine with shipping off Olofsson, but another player should be coming back. Preferably I would trade him and Johnson for a better player that fits a need, like a RHD. We need quality over quantity now. I like Olofsson, but he seems to be the type of player we are trying to move away from.
  5. It’s sink or swim time for UPL. I want him sharing a role with a proven vet on the Sabres. Give him the chance before we give it to someone else. Levi should be in Rochester the whole season and should only be an emergency call up to the Sabres. Emergency as in we have nobody but Vinz.
  6. The issue with this is that Anderson would make 5-10x the salary as player than an entry-level goalie coach. This brings up a waivers issue. We won’t be able to send him up and down.
  7. Is it black and blue or real gold and white? You decide…
  8. Immediate no, immediate no. I saw what I had to see, and no.
  9. And I’m pretty sure Hagel will even be significantly better on the Lightning than the Hawks.
  10. + Veteran RHD playing on opposite side of Power.
  11. I will take the contrarian view here. It’s no secret that we have scouts working for us in Russia. Now is the time to draft more. I’m sure we can get higher value than last year. Buy low.
  12. But I don’t think there’s any public timetable for when Stone was supposed to come back. That said, the league has rules on LTIR. According to this article, Stone could’ve come back as early as March 10th. https://puckprose.com/2022/02/17/should-we-question-how-the-vegas-golden-knights-put-mark-stone-on-injured-reserve/amp/ So, if he were to come back next week, or even yesterday, it’s all within the confines of the LTIR rule.
  13. I think what he’s trying to say is that Stone is ready to come back and Jack is about to be Kucherov’d.
  14. Did anyone ask him about goaltending?
  15. They don’t need to be included in the 10th worst teams to have a top 10 pick. Lottery is for the top 16th worst teams and they are currently sitting right on the line (15th) of being in the Lottery versus not. All I’m saying is I can see them dropping off to be included in the Lottery, which is a very real possibility.
  16. A top 10 pick for a team completely depleted of prospects. Give Eichel another off-season to acclimate and then add Stone to the mix. They’ll likely be much better next season.
  17. I wouldn’t be shocked if they have decided to tank the rest of the season. Start over next year with a fresh set of legs.
  18. Yep. VGKs drops another.
  19. Iirc, that ties him with Mike Richter.
  20. Eakin looks awesome in that pic.
  21. Correct. I knew there were 2 rather large stumbling blocks ahead of Petersen, which probably were reasons for him opting for free agency. However, I don’t think he ever came out and said this. As for UPL being drafted, jBott knew Petersen wasn’t signing before the draft. We probably wouldn’t have drafted him if Petersen signed.
  22. It’s just conjecture though. I don’t know if we know the exact reason.
  23. But I think Petersen say the perceived risk of not getting any ice time. He saw Ulmark and UPL being in his way. And at that time, we really didn’t know what we had in either, but they both had a lot of promise. Of course, in hindsight, it was erroneous for him to think he wouldn’t get ice time. However, it worked out very well for him. Selfishly, I want both Portillo and Levi signed and we can sort it out later.
  24. He really came on in the other half of the season. The piece of the puzzle here is whether Portillo (or even Levi) wants to sign. He may not. Or, he may be gunning for it. If he is, I don’t think you can spurn his wishes and tell him next year.
