  1. Yeah, I know. I haven’t given up on Skinner yet though. If he was making $4-5M, I think we wouldn’t mind him. It’s just his history and that contract.
  2. Doesn’t work, as in doesn’t hit the cap floor? Would be in favor of adding a high-priced stay at home Defenseman, rather than a forward Besides that, I would switch Skinner with Krebs. Wouldn’t want to saddle Mitts with 2 rookies at once.
  3. Thanks for the updates.
  4. I’m not an expert in evaluating amateur hockey players, but outside of Wright and maybe Savoie, is anyone seeing 1C potential in any of this year’s prospects? Instead of reaching for a C, maybe we should just go BPA that’s not a LHD.
  5. This is what happens when you have players who feel they were born to be Jets. The Sabres don’t have this problem any longer. They would give anything to be able to bleed blue and gold.
  6. According to the article on ESPN: “This is a far longer runway on this than a loss to Buffalo," he said. https://www.espn.com/nhl/story/_/id/32889537/winnipeg-jets-coach-paul-maurice-resigns-9th-season I just love how the media wants to blame as on the Sabres. Like “just how could you ever lose to the lowly Sabres?”
  7. Incredibly save. These were the types of saves Hasek would do on purpose.
  8. It seems like a lot of highly touted prospects are playing lackluster this year. Wonder how much the Covid disruption had on their development. Is this going to be the strong, deep draft year we thought it would be?
  9. If this is indeed the case, and it may be, but how can you explain Dell or Subban? Shouldn’t they have been getting the kid gloves treatment as well? Instead, it was blow out after blow out. What about losing two 3-goal leads in a row. Shouldn’t they have played this type of defense in those 3rd periods? And lastly, let’s say for sake of argument that the Sabres are indeed providing a more sturdy defense in front of UPL, isn’t this how the game is intended to be played? Do the top teams in the league not do this as well? Seems like a winning formula to me once we have a little bit more talent on the team.
  10. Bills: “hold my beer”
  11. It was. Bunch of gray buildings. The Red Guard. The air quality. I enjoyed the food though. However, what broke things for me was the lack of coffee in the morning. Was very hard to find. I also had a fever for half my days there and spent a good amount of time in the hotel room bed. Ohh, almost forgot. The bathrooms…wouldn’t wish them on my worse enemy. No toilet paper anywhere. However, the best bathrooms in the city were in the National Center for the Performing Arts. That was a cool building.
  12. I was stuck in Beijing (under the guise of “vacation”) for 8 days once. Nope, never again.
  13. I thought this was going to be a 10 points out of last place thread. Maybe in another month or 2.
  14. Must not have wanted to be a Sabre.
  15. You want him to suit up?
  16. To me, it looks like Ted Black and any other slimy henchmen were correct. If you don’t raise tickets prices, you may lose revenue sharing. This is correct, as spelled out clearly in the CBA. What is also correct is that if you continue to raise prices, the specter of losing revenue sharing is completely removed.
  17. You left out: Do not give up 3 goal leads.
  18. They had ONE job…
  19. Idk, the dude quit in the middle of a game. Unheard of. He just had to push through 30 more minutes of live play and couldn’t stomach it. People would respect him more if he just announced his decision Monday morning. Anyway, Hall is a bum.
  20. This is probably the set up right now and we just don’t know it.
  21. But unlike NHL players, they have not trained their whole life to compete in the Olympics. That said, the NHL should take the high road here and pull out.
  22. I’ll have no problem sending them Subban for a 3rd. In fact, if I were KA, I’d troll the Rags by floating a rumor they’ve explored trading for Subban.
  23. Too soon to say injury-prone?
