I don’t think “nature to run the ball” is accurate. Nature to run tells me you’d be running 100+ times a year. That’s guy’s like Cam Newton, Tyrod Taylor, Lamar Jackson and very few others. Allen ran in college because of the playbook and a putrid offensive line. He had the same college coach as Carson Wentz who is ran a bunch in college but is now more of a “can use his legs to make plays” guy instead of “nature to run.”

Stafford is better than Cam (Cam was actually nearly “bad” last year). Whether they contribute positively to their teams at a similar level could be a different conversation, but I just meant stylistically. I think Allen makes similar throws to Stafford and decisions as Cam.

If he becomes Cam Newton we should all be excited. MVP and Super Bowl appearance at age 27. Matt Stafford might be a more realistic target, though. He’s not nearly the runner Cam is.

Who Will Have a Better Season - Bills or Sabres?

Most scenarios that lead the Bills to 7-9 would be a big disappointment. They’re in a position where they’re better off adding high end talent in the draft next season and gearing up for Allen’s future in 2019. -
I absolutely agree that this post is absolutely correct in absolutely every way.

UPDATE: Sam Reinhart signs 2-year extension -- $3.65MM per year
Hoss replied to dudacek's topic in The Aud Club
When you consider the thousands of American journalists who have been fired and/or been under constant attack from those convinced all media is bad these jokes aren’t as fun. Indeed. There are plenty of examples of players who drive play from the wing or at least contribute to that role. Patrick Sharp was a comparison I made and saw others comfortably make to Samson. I’d be interested in seeing a comparison between the two if Reinhart continues his role on the wing. -
Who Will Have a Better Season - Bills or Sabres?

The Bills are a 3-7 win team as currently constructed. The Sabres are a borderline playoff team. -
The Colts said after the deal they made it because they didn’t want to drop too far so they got value while still staying in the range they wanted. The Giants were said to be firmly at 2. I was always of the mind they should trade whatever it took to get as high as they could. Beane said once the clock got to number four they knew they had more to give than anyone else and waited it out until a second first was off the board.

Didn’t watch Darnold but luckily I won’t waste any time comparing him to Allen from a Bills standpoint since he wasn’t attainable for them. I see from a stats perspective he was very Tyrod (which isn’t a knock for a rookie in his first NFL game time).

That poster is pretty nice. They’ve been using that text style on all platforms. It’s a little messy/confusing but it works.

There was a total of one “long-sack” situation and it was on a 4th down play where the running back forgot to block so he had someone on him the second he turned. I’m not overly concerned about that one play even though a bunch of people on twitter are cherry picking it. He’s used to being stronger and more athletic than some edge rushers he played so he probably thought he could get the edge. Panicked when he didn’t. Easy to coach and learn from.

Movies / TV Shows - I Have Watched / Plan To Watch
Hoss replied to Sabres Fan in NS's topic in The Aud Club
I think Gosling is one of his generation’s best actors. The Place Beyond the Pines deserved more fanfare and he was very good in that. Drive is undoubtably good. Murder by Numbers is a movie I saw when I was much younger that I rewatched recently (had no idea he was in it) that he’s good in. I know Jared Leto gets a lot of hate, but he is an incredible talent (as an actor and musician). As the stereotypical liberal I’ve never understand the hate for him, I know a lot of it came from how bad his Joker was and the antics on the set (that were later revealed to be completely fabricated by the production crew to hype the film). Is there something I’m missing with how much people don’t like him? A cousin of mine has extensive experience with him and said he’s never uninteresting and not someone he would ever want to try to keep up with but never got any real bad vibes. Lakeith Stanfield is probably on his way to some level of stardom. He’s one to look out for. -
To be fair, I was hiking during the game. Caught some of the last two drives and then a few clips and gifs on twitter. The last two throws he made were exactly what you’ve heard he can do in beautiful fashion. He had a few misplaced balls and the 4th down play where he just heaved it up was terrible (but coachable). I came out feeling positive about what all three QBs did at this point in their careers.

The J in JPEG stands for joint... the p stands for photographics... it’s pronounced like Jif. The end.

I’ve played the demo and actual NHL gameplay seems atrocious to me. The series has been terrible for a long time now. There’s some fun to be had in the EASHL but not enough to warrant $60.

Someone just taking a number and liking it should tighten the pants of those who got upset about Eichel switching to 9.

This is my first year in a few years with access to a newer console. I was on the fence about Madden and NHL but the NHL demo is absolutely terrible and Madden pulled that whack censorship of Colin Kaepernick for the second year in a row so I'm skipping out. Honestly, I've played nothing but Fortnite for months. I paid $10 for it and it's the most fun I've had on any video game not named Zelda or Jak and Daxter.

What’s kind of eerie about this is that you may remember that they were in all white because of the white sheets placed over the bodies at the scene. You can find the video their leader made online pretty easily. Not to bring it back up but the Museum of Death in Hollywood has a ln exhibit setup for this one. There’s a bunk bed with a dummy dressed the way they were and the video playing on loop. I can’t imagine being the one to close that place up at night. He’s really good in The Jacket. Also, he looks like white Snoop Dogg. -
He announced that during the conference call the day after the trade but the team’s social media guy is unforgivably bad. I’m curious about his decision to wear it. He wore it in Kitchener, too.

Karlsson’s value is exponentially bigger than Skinner’s. And if Ottawa is thinking about risking Karlsson’s value just to diminish the value of a draft pick they don’t own then they’re, well, Ottawa.
-
“I hate paywalls” = “I hate that journalists need to be paid.”
-
There’s always been reports that the team might just keep him and hope the best price is closer to the deadline which only makes sense because this is Ottawa we’re talking about.

I like where we’re headed and where we’re at but the reasoning for having that level of skill on our third line right now does not compare to why we had skill on the third line in 05-06. This year it would be to protect Mittelstadt and certainly not because the talent in the top six allows it like it did in 05-06.

The Sabres will get the 2020-21 lockout season to themselves for celebrating 50 years... the Canucks are celebrating theirs next season. They’re celebrating 50 seasons and not 50 years like most teams, even though there was a lockout in there.
