    We needed a center very badly. If Hodgson doesn't do his disappearing act last year then the trade is fine. In fact, Hodgson will rebound this year and he'll still be fine. Just ask TbB.

    Have you read them? They're pretty reluctant on Dany's part. For a scene to be sexy the character has to want it. The Asha/Qarl scenes are probably the best in that respect. And among the things you do not know, is how to spell Jon Snow :P

    Been on Duck Island in the Outer Banks all week with the family. It has been a blast. I love the beach, and my brother (the one with the kid) finally proposed to his gal.

    I just read Ender's Game again. The last time I read it was probably ~6 years ago, so needless to say I got a lot more out of it this time. Reluctant heroes always resonate so well with me.

    My first 2000 posts probably consisted of ~100 hockey posts. I was a bit afraid of my lack of knowledge and deleted already written posts, but it's just not worth it. This is a safe place to say dumb things. We'll still love (or despise) you either way.

    This isn't as dumb as it now sounds. Myers was locked up on his current contract, and Getzlaf would've been a year and a half rental for us. Hanging on to him and getting value from Myers in the WPG trade is likely better for us in the long run. Getz might have resigned with us, but in the dark days of the tank, most likely not.

    I thought Stafford was going to score 35 goals the season after his only 30 goal season. Truth. I ripped on Timmy C really hard around the end of his Sabres tenure. He was still one of our best PKers, despite his health issues. Poor guy.

    Nitpick: Fallout 3 is the 1950's idealized world. The original Fallout (and Fallout 2) definitely had a bit of 50s flavor, but that was mixed with a pulp comic book feel.
