When my son played Little League I'd sit alone, behind the CF fence because I hated every single other parent. Just sit in my lawn chair with my sunflower seeds and keep score all by myself. Can't stand parents that don't know anything about the game(every single one of them) Can't stand parents that try to coach! And then they are always wrong. Every single time.

Sorry I missed this! It's a 15k road race that takes place in Utica, NY ending at the Matt brewery where we all listen to the band, drink tons Saranac Haus lager and Utica Club.

So, the golf course that I'm staying on is closed for renovations. I spoke with a couple of the greens keepers and the neighbors, not to mention having permission from the owner of the house if it was cool if I walk the dogs on the course. Everyone said of course it's fine, just pick up after them. Geese and ducks sh## all over the course anyway. Anyways! Been here since Saturday morning. Been walking the dogs on the course for a week straight. Waiving to neighbors, greens keepers, construction workers. No problems. Til today. Some octogenarian from Long Island starts ranting and raving at me in Long Islandese about "why do ya have ya Dawgs on the gowlf course?!!!?" "Ya can't do that we have a dawg paaaak!" "Get otta hea!" To which I said "ok" waived and kept walking. I hate people who can't mind their own f-ing business. And I've seen no less than 3 other people walking dogs on that ..... woman's precious golf course. But I'm sure they're fine and upstanding because they are also pushing their expiration date.

As a second basemen I've been lining up behind the bag since middle school. 4 hitter comes up with a soft tossing pitcher on the mound, he's gonna pull it. It's a no brainier. Big hitting lefty? I'm pulled towards first base back deep in the outfield grass. Infielders have always shifted. A single defender on the entire right or left side of the diamond is pretty new, but I also love it. I remember a few years ago when MLB Network would put up a shift tracker next to the score so you could see how the fielders lined up behind the pitcher. I thought it was pretty cool.

I go to quite a few AAA games every year. I freaking love the pitch clock. Get on the mound and throw! Let's go, rock and fire! Move it!

Great thread! I like Buffalo pizza just fine and dandy. Lived on it much of my college years. Plenty of good slices in Buffalo. NYC has far too many pizza joints trading on the name of NY pizza. There are many great joints there, of course, but in my travels I have found a few to be well below my standards. I like Chicago style lasagna when the mood strikes me. My best friend lives out there and when I visit we usually grab a slice. It's freaking lasagna. Lol Being from CNY I love tomato pie. I know it's not pizza but I always snag a couple pieces when I head home. And I have a hometown pizza joint that I love above all else on the planet.

I really can't complain about anything right now, but hey, it's Thursday! Sunburn! Holy cow! 3 days surfing and a day out on the airboat in the swamp with the sun beating down and I am one hurtin unit!

I'm currently in Lady Lake. The pool was 88 this morning and the cold water tap is freaking gross! I'll be at New Smyrna Beach Tuesday and Wednesday and Daytona Beach on Thursday and Friday. I been cruising around on a golf cart for the past day and a half.

I find my answer to why I do most things is either: why not? Or: because I can. Running is faster than walking(yeah, yeah, no sh## Sherlock) in that I'm off the elliptical or treadmill in 25 minutes or less. I'm all about utilization of time. Good on you for setting goals.
