Remember last season when we had a gadget guy whose only strength was a power play specialist that we never utilized when our power play was an absolute dumpster fire?

He should be concerned about that.

After watching that full video there's a few things to like - he scores from a lot of different places - ripping one-timers, greasy net front goals, some finesse dekes, however part of me wonders how much of these were Zucker instead of Malkin doing much of the work to pull away defenders and allowing Zucker to find the space.

Well he scored on Eric Comrie so you know he's good.

I'm okay with the moves made today, it seems like we've gone from 220 grit down to 80, maybe. Worried about replacing the offensive production of losing Mitts & Skinner - the power play is going to have to make up for a lot of that. If no other moves are made I hope we'll be seeing some significant ice time from one of our forward prospects (Kulich, Rosen, Savoie, Östlund) - we can't bring them all up at once and there's only so much marinating in the AHL they can do - or f'n trade them for a legit top-6 forward.

I dunno, but I'm going to refer to him as DARUDE and just play that sandstorm song in my head everytime I read his name.

Why did we trade down if we weren't trading the pick?

Unfortunately that will never happen, and I think it's okay for players to earn the right to be able to control having some sort of stability in their lives, especially those with families.

I wish the no-movement lists were made public, that would help stop the endless "maybe we should trade for this player who will never come here" posts.

There has to be. We don't have enough room on the roster for all these draft picks.

The only thing worth watching for tonight is to see if Kucherov can hit 100 assists on the season, which is pretty dang impressive. I just glanced at the scoring leaders and the Sabres point leader is Alex Tuch with 59 points. That ranks him #90 out of all skaters. Let that sink in, there are 89 other players who have more points than the Sabres top scorer. Here's to hoping that this is Donny's last game.
