  1. Wheels feel like they're falling off. Maybe olofson can score and spark something....
  2. Need to see at least one other Sabre playing with the intensity I'm seeing from Cozens.
  3. A shorthanded goal would be pretty sweet here. Sabres starting to look like they played last night.
  4. I need Comrie to prove he can win TWO games with Samuelson out (looks like I forgot about that one 🙂 )
  5. If Comrie starts and Samuelsson can't go (which seems likely with the Pilot call up) , Im gonna need Comrie to prove he can win a game without Samuelsson in the lineup.
  6. There's zero chance they sit the captain, and while I agree he's not bringing much to the table because he's cooked, it at least looks like he's putting forth maximum effort on his shifts.
  7. I'll be baffled if it's not VO or Peterka. I was at the game last night and it looked like Granato was constantly shuffling them through the lineup to get ANYTHING out of them and it never worked. Both players have potential but good god do they need a break.
  8. I feel like Bryson wouldn't be playing if Stillman or mule were available.
  9. Notes from the game: 1. VO and PETERKA should not be on a line together. 2. Bryson needs to stop falling over. 3. Anderson is looking calm and collected.
  10. I honestly wish he'd forget about "rounding out his game" and focus on honing his gadget ability to hammer the puck in the net. I can't even remember the last time he's had a PP one-timer.
  11. It's a bit of a moot point because Jost is banged up which is why he's sitting, BUT, if he wasn't sitting I'd be a strong advocate of sitting Oloffsson for a game in the hopes of sparking something to get him going. It's a stretch to flat-out call him not good when he can realistically hit 30 goals this year. His problem is that he's a one-dimensional player who becomes ineffective when he can't do his one-dimensional thing, and my patience with him wears thinner each game his non-factor streak continues. It's usually at this point where he turns it on and will put up 8 goals over the next 12 games or something and I think, "damn, Olofsson is so good, sometimes I wonder why I want him traded" and then he goes cold again and I think "I wish KA would trade his ass." This is all a long winded way of saying he's the most polarizing player on the team for me. If we get back to a point where our non-IR forwards are all healthy I'd like to see a rotation of that 13th forward, sitting VO (unless he picks it up), Peterka, Greenway and / Hinistroza depending on performance and the opponent.
  12. Non-factor indeed, if we're talking about his last 12 games. 0 goals, 3 assists (none in his last 8), -10. When he's not scoring he brings nothing to the table. I'm so sick of watching him turn away from defenders on the point and allowing passing lanes to open up.
  13. That'd be awesome if Tampa could enter some sort of free-fall and we over take that 3rd spot in the Atlantic. Highly unlikely but that doesn't mean I can't dream. I'll be in attendance tonight, I can't remember the last time I've had interest in going to a game this late in the season. I was at the Edmonton game last year where Cozens went off, hoping for a repeat.
  14. Feel better about a 3 goal lead going into the third opposed to a 2 goal lead. Doesn't mean to let up.
  15. With Asplund traded I'm hoping this guy can provide some competition for the 13th forward slot. For whatever reason Asplund Granato/Adams did not like what they saw from Asplund and he was stapled to bench. Hopefully we can see some sort of rotation between Greenway, Hinistroza and Peterka - who I really feel could use a game or two to watch from above.
  16. Remember when Tim Murray moved up in the draft specifically targeting Asplund? Always had high hopes for him. Sucks that the return is a 7th but not surprising considering he was our 13th forward and we played Rochester call ups over him.
